Buying AP but not activiting right away.

How do I buy APs (pref with gift cards), but not use the 1st day for 6 months.

I read through ticket and anything bought at park/dtd are active that day.. I would like to buy tickets in April, with an off chance and not activate them until Thanksgiving. Is this possible?

I tried online, and failed due to having more than 2 gift cards.

Please tell me how to do this.

( I will be in DW from 04/19 -04/28 so I can physically bring gift cards with me, but it sounds like this will activate that day.)

I have APs which are good till July will they let us change over with the discount to the premium to use until July since it is the same pricing as what we paid for the AP last summer?

If you go to a ticket window or guest relations location at WDW, tell them you want to purchase an exchange certificate for a DVC AP. This exchange certificate can then be exchanged for the actual AP at a later date. The year on the AP will not start until you exchange the certificate for the actual AP.

On a related note, do they expire exactly one year after expiration or the end of the month that are activated?

One year (actually 366 days, 367 in a leap year). Example, if you purchase or exchange for an actual pass on 2/10/2014, it would expire at the end of the business day on 2/10/2015.

Actually, they expire at the exact time on that date one year later. For example....If you purchase it at 8 am on 2/10/2014 and try to enter the park at 9 am on 2/10/2015, you will not be allowed entry.

Nope. It's at the end of the business day.
