Has anyone purchased their aps at check in at a delux resort? Concierge desk.

I read somewhere that there were problems with the plastic cards you get.

Unlike the paper APs at guest relations.

We purchased ours at the Boardwalk Guest Services desk. We got the plastic cards and have had no problems with them, although I prefer the thin paper/Tyvek kind.

The printers at the resorts use the same card stock as your room key.

I believe the issue has more to do the the CM not processing them correctly.

I keep ours (two APs) in my wallet at all times, so I prefer the Tyvek cards since they are thinner.

Do they still use the Tyvek at the parks....

I really hope so. My AP has held up so good. And unlike a Disney room key it has not required it's own personal "care plan" to make sure it never sees a cell phone, computer or credit card! (I hate Disney room keys!)

We did this last July at SSR, the APs they gave us did NOT work. Had to go to a guest relations window to get new ones. Make sure you carry the receipt until you verify they work correctly.

Have a great trip.

When we were there last week they told us that they no longer are issuing ap's at the resorts. My husband bought his at concierge at BW in March but when we tried to buy them for the kids last week they said you now have to go to guest relations to do so.

I was told that last week. They said there were just to many errors with resorts doing AP's that they are no longer able to do this.
