Buying an Annual Pass

So I currently have an AP that expires on March 23rd, 2019. After the recent crazy price hikes at Disneyland I want to purchase an AP now but not activate it until I go back to wdw in September. Can I do that before my current ap expires?

Unless you’re betting on the increase being more than 20%, wouldn’t the renewal discount be a better bet than paying rack rate for a full annual pass?

Yep! I won't be back until September so the loss of five months would definitely cancel out any savings for me, thanks though!!
