Buying a Wand

Just wondering if it might be advantageous to purchase the meal deal ticket and souvenir mug. I am not at all familiar with the Universal parks and see that you can only use them at a limited number of restaurants. What are the expert opinions on this subject?

For the most part, the meal deal gets panned, unless you have teenage boys who are willing to eat their weight in burgers and pizza. I ran a search as I was curious, and no-one here seems to be a fan.

Can someone specify the refill situation again? I'm confused. Is it .79 for a refill? Do you need to buy the souvenir butterbeer mug or is there a regular type refillable cup like at six flags?

There are two types of mugs. If you buy the $11.00 Butterbeer souvineer mug, the butterbeer refills are $4.25 for the frozen and $3.25 for the regular butterbeer. You can also use that mug and get soda refills in the parks for .89.

The butterbeer mug is quite a bit smaller than the regular big red Universal mugs which sell for $7.44 (with tax) and can be refilled with soda at the two parks for about .88 (with tax). You can not the get big red Universal mugs refilled with butterbeer though.

Thank you for explaining it and the pictures. I know my one daughter will need to get the butterbeer mug and the other probably doesn't really care.
