Buying a reservation?

I realized I can't start a thread in Trade/Rent so I hope posting here is ok.

I was interested in buying points for a reservation but my dates are booked. If someone had a reservation booked during those dates and was going to have to cancel for some reason could I but a reservation from them?

Yes. But you would need to find someone offering the reservation on the rent/trade board. You can't solicit a rental, only respond to others here who have listed their reservation for sale. I might suggest you check also on TUG or even eBay.

But buyer beware. Always safest to just pay extra cash and book through Disney. Judge your own risk/cost ratio of comfort, and proceed accordingly.

The answer to your question is yes, you may purchase an already-made confirmed reservation from a DVC member who no longer wishes to use it.

However, you may not post a specific request to do so on any of the DISboards.com Forums, including the Rent/Trade Board.

If you happen to see a reservation offered for sale on the Rent/Trade Board, you may reply to that thread and work with the member offering the reservation.
