Buying a new seasonal pass...some questions.

We plan on getting the Florida Seasonal passes (monthly plan) for a visit this mid December. Some questions that we'd love some insight on:

1. The clock starts clicking on our passes when we use it for the first time...not when we buy them, correct? We want to be able to go again in early to mid December in 2015, so we don't want to start the clock if we buy them this weekend.

2. If we buy them now, and tie them to our MDE account, can we start scheduling FP+'s right away (assuming it's within the 30 day window)? Just curious since we wouldn't have activated them yet (by using them at a park).

3. Would scheduling FP+ start the clock on the tickets?

Thanks!

Thanks for the replies.

I was on the phone with the call center after posting, and got conflicting info from your #3 answer. She confirmed it wouldn't start until we first used it, BUT, she said if we made FP+'s then the clock would start ticking then.

Now I'm confused as I know the phone CM's aren't always right but she sure sounded sure of herself. :) :confused3

I just bought myself the Seasonal pass this year, and I can guarantee that the clock did not start ticking until I walked into a park with it. :thumbsup2

Called again to see if I'd get a different answer on the issue...I did.:thumbsup2

BUT...while confirming that making a FP selection wouldn't start the clock, unfortunately the clock would start immediately for us since we're doing the monthly plan. Ugh...was hoping to make some FP's but now we'll have to wait until the last minute. Good stuff will be long gone. We're rope droppers who always stay offsite so I obviously really dislike FP+.

I'm doing the monthly plan as well, and mine still didn't start until I officially entered a park.

Hmmm...just called a second person and they said the same as the last. Our days will start ticking when we sign the contract for the monthly plan. I mean, that makes sense when you think about it (since they have to start billing you).

Are you sure your days didn't start? How are you viewing how many days you have left? How many days were there between you signing the contract for the installments, and the day you first used the passes?

Thanks. :)

I'm positive. I bought the AP in February, but I didn't take my first trip with it until April, and that's when my expiration date is.

Thanks for all your help.

Perhaps they've changed their terms? Maybe one of the other disboard regulars will also chime in.
