I am considering buying a cricut and I have a lot of questions.

I have noticed the embellishments many of you have created and I was wondering which cartridges did you buy to create some of the animal kingdom and cruise disney embellishments.

Also, which machine do you suggest? The Create machine sounds like the better deal but I would like an opinion

I personally have an expression and love it for the simple fact you can cut much bigger. I first had the baby bug and then they came out with the big bug. The create cuts only to 6 inch but has all the features of the big bug. Check out hsn they have some great deals on cricut bundles with lots of extras.

For creating things for disney pages I have used Animal Kingdom cart and all the disney carts. Also I have used the paper doll cart a lot for disney stuff. I have done a lot of mix and matching of carts to create an image. I truely love my bug. When they first came out Ithought what a waste of money. About a year later I caught the bug. I have had mine for about 3 years. I also use SCAL some. I am a novice with it, but some here make such awesome things with it.

Beware -- it's an expensive addiction:rotfl:

I saw the HSN ads several times over the past couple of years and figured I didn't need to be able to cut out a full page of one color apples. However, I've started back into scrapbooking much more lately and succumbed to the lure of the original cricut and the disney cartridges a few weeks ago when ACM had them on sale -- we loved it immediately. Then, the bums, they put the Expression package on sale, with 4 cartridges, etc. and I barely hesitated before getting it, too. There's always some other cutout(s) (cartidges) you'll want! It's a lot of fun, altho there is a bit of a learning curve (read lots of threads on the cricut.com message boards). I'm using the E by my scrapbook table, and am going to get the Design Studio software and set the little one up by my PC to make welded titles (got tired fairly quickly of pasting on individual letters for titles, etc.).

So, I ended up with several cartridges, then I needed a jukebox, then another one . . . (now there's a new Gypsy gadget that can do away with the jukebox, but it's for planning stuff when you're not at home, and I don't need that). Then, there's also pens (which are useful on the shape cutouts, as well as on their own). And it goes on and on. I want to go back and redo a bunch of my old pages, altho I have made a few pages without using it already, since I got it.

thank you for your help.
We dont have those stores here in Canada so I'll have to wait until the online stores have sales... can't wait

I have the first Cricut and it has been great. Beware that there is a learning curve, it takes you a while to get the hang out it. But once you do it is a lot of fun.

For my Disney pages I use Mickey font most often. There are also the Mickey and Friends and princess carts, but I am not really into piecing all of those tiny bits together, so I have not gotten those yet.

I too am in Canada...and just got bitten by the Cricut bug. I was given some "fun" money and I decided to take the "plunge"....I picked up the Cricut Create at Wal-Mart for $198.....and then saw the same machine at Michaels for $399.99....so I decided since I saved $200 on the machine...I deserved to reward myself with some Disney cartridges....which Michaels has on sale this week for $59.99!!!!!

My husband surprised me with the Expression 2 weeks ago, he got the bundle from ACM. I love it so much. The carts I use the most are the Mickey font and the Storybook. I have 6 total but would love to get more. I think the Expression is the way to go personally, the deal at ACM is great if you can swing it.

joann.com has cartridges on sale for $44.99 this week -- check out customcrops.com too!!
