Buying 4 Day MWY Premium Tiks thru HH???

Has anyone here ever used their Hilton Honors points to buy the 4-day MWY Premium tickets and try to upgrade them at the parks to more days or an AP? I am thinking about doing so(even though I know it is a horrible value ) but I don't know if the mag strip on these tickets is encoded with the real value or if they are encoded as free. No one in ticketing can give me an answer. They say the only way to find out is when scanned at guest relations at the park but for me....that is a cutting it a little too close. I don't want any suprises of the "costly" variety.

A few years ago, I got a 4-day Park Hopper Plus from HiltonHHonors and asked about upgrading when I got to WDW. They scanned the ticket and did give me a price for upgrading to an AP. I declined at the time, but yes, the ticket does have a value to it.

She asked where I got it and I told her from HiltonHHonors, she didn't even blink an eye, no problems at all.
