Buyer's market?

We seem to get a thread like this every few months, but the contracts keep getting sold, "new" prices continue to rise, and the resale prices of "sold-out" resorts continue to inch up.

The only real change DVC has made is they have established a tiered pricing structure for "sold-out" points purchases direct from Disney, instead of charging the same price for all of those resorts. If they get too big an inventory of points at certain resorts, we will once again get the emails offering X,XXX points in our use year available at our home resort.

For all the speculation, nothing really changes much.

I just recently went through a time share presentation with Fairfield/Wyndham at the urging of my sister-in-law, who works for them. It was going to cost me $18,000 for a vacation rental every other year and I beleive if I remember corrctly $22,000 to vacation for one week a year in a one bedroom. I think paid around $13,500 for 150 points at SSR, which gives about two short(5 day) vacations to WDW a year.
There was just no comparrison to the quality of DVC comparred to Fairfield/Wyndham. Sure they had some incentives, but nothing like DVC was offering. I waited many years before purchasing into DVC, my only regret was not purchasing sooner. My 2 cents.

Can someone tell me what the 4 major re-sellers are? I am looking for some points.

Thanks,
Erick
