Anyone have experience with them? Their sight claims they are a Beach.com company, which I remember someone here recommending. I've found mostly good reviews, but have found two reviews from last month on the same site of people who have bought the camera I'm about to buy. Both received boxes that had obviously been opened. A fluke or a trend?

B&H shows the Olympus E510 2 lens kit as discontinued!! ACK!

I've bought cameras and equipment from both beach and buydig, never had any problems and I've always received my order within 1-2 business days even with free shipping so I give them a :thumbsup2 .

I too was cautious ...

... however, I did buy two HF100 HD camcorders from them last month. I needed them quick for a cruise I was about to embark on and it came in quick exactly as expected. I paid some $55 or 60 for the express service too... but it cost nearly that much for express delivery!

I would cautiously say they seem on the level. And I bought TWO of this camera as my BIL and I wanted one each.

Beach and Buydig are top shelf. I have used both and have no qualms about recommending them both.

I purchased a "Brand New" Nikon 18-200 VR lens from buydig.com last April and was very disappointed when it arrived. The box looked worn and was ripped. When I opened it, some of the standard packaging was missing. The lens was very dirty and had scratches around the mount like it had been used several times. This lens cost over $600 so I was upset to say the least... I did return it immediately and was refunded within a couple of weeks. I'm not sure if this was just bad luck on my part or if it is normal for them.

i have bought from them a number of times with no problems..however there is a similarly named company (buy.com ?) that i have heard some problems with. could be some bad reviews were from there

I have had four purchases with no problems. They are also a real B&M shop as well, so a box looking opened could very well be one that was out on the shop floor where a customer wanted to test the lens on their camera and then did not buy it. That does not make it any less new IMO. From my experience, camera companies typically do not shrink wrap their boxes. Sometimes people expect that wrap and get worried when it is not there. I am not saying that is what happened to anyone here, but could explain some reports on sites like resellerratings.

I have no experience with buydig but I wanted to say congratulations on making your decision!

I purchased my Rebel XT a couple of years ago from buydig.com with no problems whatsoever.

I've bought two lenses from Buydig (one was the Canon 24-70 / 2.8 L) and both arrived safe and sound within 2 days with me only paying the minimum shipping charge (or shipping was free, I can't remember). I highly recommend them :thumbsup2 .
