Need help! Want to save $!

Our family of 5 would like to buy AP’s.
1. Should I buy tickets from Undercover tourist at a $40 savings per ticket before the price increase then upgrad to an AP when we get to DW in March

2. Buy the AP voucher before price increase?

Which one more than likely save more $?

I have no idea, but since I'm planning on getting an AP this year, and already have a 10 day ticket I purchased last year, and haven't used, I'm kind of wondering the same thing. Am I better to just buy the AP, or should I hold onto that 10 day ticket, and then upgrade it when I get to the parks. I guess when you get your answer, then I will know what will work best for me too

Nobody is going to be able to answer this with any certainty.

If I had to decide today, I'd probably take the vouchers. They're slightly less hassle, and at least your costs are fixed. Maybe you'll end up paying a bit more, but it's a pretty likely bet that APs will see some price increase; even in the best case your $40/ticket savings is probably going to look more like $20. On the other hand, APs might go up $100. I don't think that's probable, but Disney has surprised me with the magnitude of ticket prices before, so no reason it couldn't happen again.

That said, it seems that price increases are usually leaked (or maybe even outright announced?) at least a day or two in advance. It'll be discussed here. You might just keep an eye on the boards and be prepared to jump on the vouchers fast if it looks like the AP increase will be substantial.

The problem is no one knows when the price increase will happen. Your $40 savings won't equal a $40 savings if they increase the price of AP's though
