Buy annual pass for discount?

Our family of 5 is heading down for 2 weeks next February 2011. I'm compring prices between the Orlando FlexPass, regular tickets and annual passes. It looks like it might be worth it to get one or two annual passes as they come with free parking and discounts (depends on how much we plan to park and spend). Does anyone else do this?

We are thinking about it as well. For us the savings may not be there though. We plan on staying onsite and I understand the free parking does not cover the resort parking fees, so I think it will ultimately come down to how many of us go.

This is correct...Since the hotels are not owned by Universal, the AP parking benefit does not cover the hotels. If you aren't staying onsite then the AP WOULD cover the $14.00/day parking charge but only once you have the actual pass in hand.

yep, but if one has time to spare, they can always park in the drop off section for a few minutes, let one from the group run up stairs to the IOA ticket window (since IOA is closer then US), and purchase their pass.. then go back down stairs and drive around to the lot.... again, that is if someone has the time to do it, since it could be time consuming. I have had my pass since it when they reimbursed you once you entered the park.. so I have not...not had one to show for my free parking
