I'm thinking this promotion applied to more than just park tickets. It included resort stays, making it very popular. I think it was a very popular antidote to post-crash concerns about a dip in business for Disney.

Yes! That is when we went, I remember sending Clorox wipes and stuff to the hotel and dh taking stock in hand santitizer!

I guess it was just a one time thing! I thought maybe they did it often, it was such a good deal!

They did it in October 2009. DD and I took advantage of it to upgrade to AKL. It was a a great deal!

Yep- it was 2009. We actually went twice that year because of that deal.... and yes, one of those times I'm pretty sure I brought swine flu back from WDW. It was worth it though! Didn't get sick until the day we were coming home.

It was directly related to the bad economy and bookings being way down- I wouldn't expect to see that good a discount again any time soon.

We stayed at GF MKV during that promotion with Deluxe Dining.

My mom paid for our trip and she asked me to book my dream trip. I had a lot of fun planning that one.

Actually, they first did it the year after the 4 hurricanes hit Florida. They repeated it once or twice after that.
