buy 4 get 3 free deal pin vs. free dining question

I had originally booked a trip free dining for Oct 2-9th, park hoppers at caribbean beach preferred room. Total was $2089 for me, DH and dd (15 months when we go, so free)
Then I got a pin today for travel between Oct 2 thru November 24th. I called Disney to switch the reservation because I thought it would be alot cheaper. So now, we're staying at the same place, same time, same dining (but this time we paid for it in order to get the buy 4 get 3 free) and it only knocked an additional $70 off our trip. She said that the extra 3 FREE days doesn't include 3 days of free dining, which I thought it did. It only includes tickets and hotel.
Does this sound right? Sorry if it's been asked before, I can't really look through posts all that much since I'm trying to watch my DD at the same time

All the previous 4/3 deals were for 3 free nights and 3 free days of tickets. If you opted for a DDP, you pay for it for all 7 of the nights, or whatever your stay includes.

The FD promo includes the DDP for your entire stay, but you pay full non-discounted rate for your resort and must buy at least a 1 day ticket.

I've never run accross a promo that gave both free nights and free dining.
