What do you use to get it out??

I tried Spray n Wash, then washed the shirts (both boys and DH's) in Tide...didn't touch it. All the greasy spots are on dark cotton t-shirts.

thanks

The only thing that has worked for me is Lestoil. You can find it in the cleaning section, with 409, Mr. Clean, etc. Rub it into the grease stain with your finger or a cloth. Let it sit for a while. Do NOT let Lestoil stay in contact with a finished, wood surface. I have a polyurethaned oak counter in my kitchen and it ate right through the finish. DH had to refinish it. :guilty: It does not harm clothing however .

use an old toothbrush and brush some dish soap into the spot and wash it again. We use dishsoap for all grease stains around here. Works EVERY time! :cool1:

Try Dawn dish detergent..pour some on, rub, let it sit for about 10 minutes and wash in the washer..:thumbsup2

I use Dawn dish soap. Put a bit on each spot, rub and let sit for a few hours. Then, launder as usual. The grease spots come right out.

Yes - yes - yes!

Dawn takes grease, outta your way!!! :thumbsup2

I used to use naptha, but now I use an orange cleaner. I can't remember the name of it--I'll look in the cupboard when I get home. I have tried another orange cleaner and it didn't work.

The solvent I couldn't remember is called De-Solv-It. It has a few warnings on the back about certain fabrics, but it works very well on my kids' clothes. No scrubbing; just spray it on. I run an extra rinse cycle when I use it.

Yup, Dawn dishwashing liquid works great but if that isn't your usual buy for dishes, try shampoo. That worked for us. I dab it on & then launder the item as usual. Often, though, the shirt will sit for several days. So far we haven't had trouble with color fading.

Dunno...but now you have a pregnant women craving buttered popcorn at midnight..... popcorn::

Dawn - but only the BLUE one! The other ones aren't the grease cutters that the blue one is.

I've put baby powder or corn starch on popcorn butter or oily salad dressing stains. The powder absorbs the oil, then wash. It works! Good luck!
