I know I can get these at DHS & the cupcakes are at DQ, but where else can I find them? After reading so much about these & looking at pics, I'm determined to try all 3 of them. We always eat 2 TS a day & I never have room for snacks. I've decided I'm getting them anyway on our next trip(s). I don't care, if I'm already stuffed. I need to try them. I planned to get my DH & me the cupcakes to share last weekend. Unfortunately, by the time we got to DHS Starring Rolls was closed. I forgot to look for the cookie. :headache: Next month we're going to Epcot, DHS, & AK. Can I get any of these at Epcot or AK, if I miss them at DHS again? How about any of the resorts or DTD (other than DQ)? TIA :thanks:

I got the Carrot cake cookie during Fantasmic during the summer from a cafe on Hollywood Blvd. (I think it was the "villian" shop??!?)

They also had some cool cupcakes, but I don't think they had the flavors you mentioned.

HTH a little:goodvibes have a super fun trip!!!!!

I think that may have been Writers Stop, which is the only place I know that does them.

They also have carrot cake cookies at the little sweets shop attached to Villains in Vogue. :thumbsup2

As for cupcakes, you can't get those particular flavors outside of Starring Rolls in DHS. But in Epcot, you can get cupcakes at Karamel Kuche in Germany, and if stroll out the International Gate entrance and hit the boardwalk area, the Boardwalk Bakery has many amazing cupcake flavors to choose from.

At Animal Kingdom, you can find some great cupcakes at the Kusafiri bakery/coffee stand back by the safari. Delicious and cutely themed for the park!

Magic Kingdom has cupcakes at the Main Street Bakery and at the Main Street Confectionery, but they're probably the worst among the cupcakes in the parks, very dry and very generic.

Many of the resorts have cupcakes at their counter service/grab & go eateries....the Smores cupcake at Roaring Fork in the Wilderness Lodge is very popular, Contemporary and GF have a few unusual ones as well, although the best flavors tend to be seasonal offerings.

You MUST try all 3 of them - force yourself - you MUST!!!!

Edit: Ooops, sorry. Just realized that your post indicated you know where these are in DHS. I'll leave my post anyway; maybe someone else needs the info.

These are all at Starring Rolls Bakery in DHS & they are ALL super yummy! As enter the park, continue down the main drag to the first Right turn, which goes to Tower of Terror. As you make that Right turn, look Left - that's the bakery there on the corner (few steps go down into the bakery courtyard with outside seating).

Often the line is out of the door, but don't let that scare you. There's not much room inside so the line is not as long as it looks & it moves sorta quickly.

Seating is hard to get. So, if you want to enjoy right away, have one person hold a table & enough chairs, while another buys the cupcakes.

If you want carryout, ask for a carryout container for each cupcake & if you have several, ask for a bag (or two). The containers are smaller than the cupcakes, so don't stand the cupcakes upright. Instead, lay the cupcakes on their sides. While fastening the top of the container, the cupcake may slightly be mooshed down, but not enough to cause any damage.

As you can tell, we make this quest often! DH loves the Butterfinger the best. I am so enthralled with them all that I can't decide! We often use our leftover snack credits to take a bunch of them home. Only problem is, when flying instead of driving, airport security does not allow pastry icing thru security (we asked & there was also a tv news report of a woman losing her icing topped pastry to airport security). Sadly, this next time, we are flying.

I suggest that you save these in your room fridge & eat a cupcake as the third meal of the day, since you do 2 TS per day. With regular DDP, we eat these for breakfast in our room - yum, yum, decadent yum!

Enjoy!

Thanks for all the replies. :) I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get them elsewhere. :( We only eat the 2 TS. We don't eat a 3rd meal. We're always too stuffed. I wish Starring Rolls stayed open later. We could stop by DHS to pick some up on our way home. That would be ideal. I'll just have to eat light at breakfast to save room for them & hope they haven't sold out when we get there. We're not exactly early risers. ;) It sounds like we should definitely be able to get the carrot cake cookie at Writer's Stop or Villains in Vogue. If not, we may try different cupcakes. These are the 3 I've been drooling over in pics for months now though.

If you eat at Starring Rolls, I'd add a chocolate peanut butter to the mix....yumm! Best cupcake i ever had. Be warned, they don't always have everything. They were out of red velvet when I went in. :(

The cupcakes in Germany look so beautiful....and I was so dissapointed. :( the icing was gritty and just wasn't good.

At AK I tried the cotton top cupcake and it was yummy and adorable, though no carry out box. I'd def recommend.

I'm not even a cupcake fan but Disney has tuned me into one. They are so freaking good!!

Thank you for all this...I was reading the OP wondering where are these little bits of heaven I must try! We'll be in DHS on Thursday so I'll have to skip breakfast that day. And maybe lunch. :lmao:

Google "Disney food blog". Then on that site, do 2 searches....one for snacks and one for cupcakes.

I now skip meals often and just snack, lol. Way cheaper too!

I don't want to stir up anything, but please don't do this. Holding tables when you don't have food prevents people with food from sitting down. We were at Starring Rolls over New Years and when we got out of line over 50% of the tables were people who had no food and were just holding places for people in line. We had finished our breakfast sitting on the edge of a wall and there were people who were still sitting at tables with no food. If they would have just waited in line with their families, everyone could have had a seat and enjoyed their food.

You can also get all of the cupcakes, the carrot cake cookie excluded, at Disney Quest.
I was able to enjoy that oh so yummy red velvet cupcake quite a few times on our last trip, without having to go back to DHS.

Starring Rolls does close early, but in addition, they often run out of the cupcakes well before their closing time and don't replenish until the next day. In September, we stopped at Starring Rolls on our way out of DHS for our mid-day break, about 12:30pm, and I got a butterfinger cupcake to go. There were only 2-4 cupcakes of each kind left at that time.

bonniec...
That pic was amazing! wow!!!!! seriously craving a cupcake!!!!!! 4 more weeks.......:cloud9:

Thanks for the to-go info! I thought I read somewhere they didn't have containers....glad I'm mistaken....I'm a huge "midnight snack" person:goodvibes

They do have to-go containers. Depending on how big the cupcake is, it doesn't always fit in it well, so I'd definitely grab it on the way out, or maybe bring a bag with you to put it in so you don't have to carefully handle it if you're going to carry it around for a while. I had to turn the cupcake on it's side but it was fine, but some people had to squish it a little. Squished or not - its still amazing ;)

I had been drooling over those Butterfinger cupcakes for a long time when we went in May 2010, imagine my disappointment when I went there on the way out of the park at about 7p to find out they closed at 4 :sad1:

I made it a point to go there on our last trip and went at about 2:30 and luckily for me they still had them (actually had the red velvet and Peanut Butter ones too which are next on my list, LOL) The only boxes they had were WAY too small for the cupcake so I had to get a bag but it fared pretty well. It was good my MIL had room in the front basket of her scooter so it didn't get too squished.

I wish they had them other places, too, I don't really expect to be spending too much time at DQ. Although I really do want to try that Strawberry one that they have at the Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary.

Thanks for reminding folks of this - it's no fun at all to have food and no seat while tables are taken up with people who aren't eating.
