Butterbeer

yes. It is a plastic frosted mug with "butterbeer" across the middle in a light green lable..it is molded into the plastic so it will not wear off. I think the handle is kinda small tho...wish they would have made that a little more substantial, or at least more room between handle and body of the mug.
Stamped on the bottom is * not dishwasher or microwave safe* and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter/Universal Orlando in clear lettering. Made in China.

After following the thread about people above normal weight not being able to ride FJ, I found the above comment about the handle on the mug very funny. First my thighs and tummy may be too big for FJ and now my fingers may not fit between the mug and its handle. I just wish that Harry Potter could cast a spell and shrink me to a smaller size.

By the way, I don't want to start an argument about weight. I just think this whole issue is becoming funny.

lol...maybe it is just me. no one has posted anything about the mug size, but it is easier for me to slip my hand inside the handle, around thebody of the mug with the handle across the back of my hand ( if that makes sense) not the largest mugs out there...to be honest, I enjoyed almost all of WWOHP, but this generic/cheesy aspect of the mugs did kinda stand out to me..maybe I was picturing more along the lines of the refil mugs at the WDW resorts..and I know they are more than $10, but are substantially thicker/sturdier, taller.

Way back when, I posted saying I wouldnt be posting about that subject due to (lets just say) certain individuals on here.

I had to track this down. I'm obsessed. What could possibly have happened to create such drama?

But no, don't tell me. Keep the mystery. How could a ride and a yeti make for such whispered secrets in the dark halls of the dis?

:rotfl:

unfortunately they don't have the mugs anymore. They're plastic cups with butterbeer stamped on them

The reason they dont have the mugs...

They ran out..

When I was there on 7/9, I was in line for a frozen butterbeer, and the TM said to someone else that they were sold out. They had a 2year supply that they went through in about 2 weeks...:scared1:

He also said they are hoping to get more, but they have to wait for them to be made..so who knows when they are coming back

Holy cow!

DH had a butterbeer so we got the mug with it and then we both had the HogsHead Mead and got the mug with it as well. I think the mug you get at the Pub for the beer is much nicer than the Butterbeer one. It was larger and thicker and stood out a bit more, that was the mug I brought to work to put on my desk :)

They were still out of the mugs on Tuesday...luckily I bought a mug the first time we went and this time I got the cup. It was at least cheaper than the mug.
