Butt Out!

I know that smoking is a hot (no pun intended) topic, and I don't want to rehash the debate that keeps coming up. But I did notice something on our trip last weekend that I haven't seen discussed here before. Just wondering if anyone else has ever noticed.
On Serenity Bay, I am finding more and more cigarette butts mixed in with the sand. In 36 cruises, I have seen literally only two smokers bother to use an ashtray. The rest don't bother with a garbage can...they just toss their butts down like they are supposed to magically disappear. I wonder if the same people would throw trash like empty cups and papers on the ground. I don't know if this is a problem on the family beach, but it's worse every time at the adult beach. If you have to smoke, please use an ashtray! They're available free at the bar.

I haven't gone yet, but I cannot understand why anyone would want to mess up the beauty of this awesome beach by littering! The question is ....Would they throw the butts in their own yard?????

Trip report is almost done!! About 65 percent of the way there. I am working on my CD planning guide, too, so that is taking up some of my time, but I expect to have the report posted by the weekend. I have lots of photos I want to post, too, including a sneak preview of our 2004 Christmas card and my long-coveted picture with Stitch (I've been stalking him for a couple of cruises now).

Yes, Stitch has his own signing line but is also with Lilo!

You can find the list of characters appearing in the Atrium on the wall across from the piano.

Cool photos!
We never say Lilo and Stitch listed in the Navigator, but I got my photo at Til We Meet Again on the last night. Stitch was over by the grand piano (Lilo was not there), and he kept taking it over from the poor guy who was trying to play. It was a riot!

Absolutely, we saw him everywhere! We have photos of him and Lilo with the kids, they were thrilled...

Yes, we saw Stitch on the Magic, though my kids didn't like him. They thought he was a bad guy since his costume was darker. He crashed the princess autograph session and they just pulled up another chair for him. I think that I saw him doing his own pictures one night too.

He definitely acts just like you would expect Stitch to. Besides taking over the grand piano in the atrium whenever he had an urge to, he tried to steal a little boy's pen and then tossed it at him! I told him he was my favorite character, and he gave me a big smooch and was right back at the piano to play me a song! He is hilarious.

When we were on our 1/3/04 cruise and having dinner in Lumieres one night by the window, Stitch came over pressed his face on the window and knocked. I about screamed and jumped out of my chair! My kids thought it was funny to see mom jump, but hey, all I saw were those teeth and I didn't expect it. I'm sure whoever was Stitch had a great laugh that night!!
