But, I did NOT borrow points!!!

I just made reservations for Old Key West. When I was told how many point I had left, I was shocked! I knew I had banked points left over from 2003. So, I had my 2004 use year, plus the banked 36 points.
When I questioned it, B******* told me that I borrowed 84 points from my 2004 use year in July of 03. I asked her Why would I have had to borrow 04 points when I obviously had a surplus at the end of the year!!!!!! Flustered, she told me she could send me a copy of my activity record. I asked her to FAX it to me!
I see trouble!! I'll be requesting activity reports from now on!!!!!!

Has anyone else experienced problems with this???

Go back over your vacations from the last couple of years. I keep track of past, current, and even cancelled ressies that I have made. I always ask for remaining points when I begin and end my conversation with MS.

I am sure you will find out where those points went.

We're all watching the upcoming Member Website to see if it offers decent points tracking right away. (It almost certainly will offer this, but we don't know if this feature will be part of the first roll-out.)

Online points tracking should make it a lot easier to avoid these kinds of problems, and to solve them when they do arise.

And if you have more than one contract, or a contract and some add-ons...good luck with that printout It will have your entire DVC history from day one.

Good luck deciphering the readout, it can be very convoluted and hard to follow if you have had a lot of banking/borrowing/reserving/changing, etc. Especially if you have more than one contract.
