I'll start by saying, I wish the smilies were working-
So I thwarted my DBF's plan to buy a DSLR camera for me for Christmas (I'm a grad student with no free time to use it). He had to come up with "plan b".
My DBF is 41 years old and has been married twice. It's not like he has never done this before.
He and his neice went shopping together. I knew he bought me an outfit because he couldn't keep it a secret. I wasn't scared though because he has a great taste in women's clothes (he doesn't care about himself in clothes).
I open it tonight and it's a dress, a turtle neck sweater for under the dress, black tights, and a hat.
I just tried it on. The dress is horrible on me (makes me look pregnant and the sleaves are super baggy) and the turtleneck is too big to put under anything (although I do like it!). I'll never wear the hat, just not my style. I actually think it's one of those dresses meant to be paired with jeans (not tights as he envisioned).
Our first Christmas and I have to tell him that it all has to go back... He's keeping the four shirts I got him (he's easy though, 3 short sleaved solid color polos for work and a great flannel shirt). I'm sure he would rather I tell him and we go shopping together for something that I would wear. I just feel really bad.
