Returned Sunday from a week at ASMu. Our first trip, we had AMAZING weather! Sunny and in the 80's the whole week! A far cry from the snow and cold of western New York!

The ASMu was great! The guitar pool as super! We stayed in the preferred room in Calypso 10 with a view of the pool. However, after two nights, DD and DS were complaining about DH's snoring....DS and DH were sharing a bed and DS (who is 11) is a bed hog. So, on a lark, I went to the front desk and told them the situation (to many people in a room, my thoughts were). I asked them for any help/suggestions (expecting a roll away or something....anything would have helped at that point!) The manager (DJ), got out his computer and looked some stuff up.....offered us adjoining rooms in another building (Rock Inn, building 3)-at no extra charge...so, we moved two buildings away, got TWO rooms for the price of one, the kids had their room, we had our own, and the rest of the vacation was PERFECT. Thank you ASMu for saving our vacation!

We did see the dream team several times......all day at Animal Kingdom on Wednesday....but, we didn't get a single thing....not even a lanyard....we were sad......but the Animal Kingdom was great. The crowds were small, the rides were pretty cool (although the hype about the Everest Ride was a bit over done...)

We LOVED LOVED LOVED the Wishes fireworks display on MK. Left us breathless. We videotaped it so we can watch it again and again. Actually got Tink as she flew over the crowd!

We didn't do the dining plan, and at first, I was thinking we should have. But honestly, I don't think we could have ate that much. But, perhaps if it is offered free next time, we'll try it out.

We did drive down this time...20 hours by car....not something we want to do again.

DH and I would like to go back, just the two of us, and hit up Pleasure Island at DTD, stay at a nice resort closer to the parks and do all the grown up stuff the kids didn't want to do (some stuff at MGM, like the animation history and Walt Disney history, etc....).

All in all, a pretty great trip. :thumbsup2

WOW you were lucky...my DH snores so horrible...I am glad in a way he does overnights.

I saw the dream team in all the parks and we never got a dream..but we had a great trip too.
