We just got back for the afternoon rest after about 4-5 hours in the park. I thought yesterday was busy (a Sunday).....today is more busy and it's a weekday!!!

The park opened at 8 am but with 11 of us getting ready in the morning, we managed to make it there by about 10:30 am. Runners went to get FP for Space......at that time it was a 55 min stand-by wait. FP return time was 1:50 pm.

We took a pic in front of the castle and it was time for the DL Band to play at 11 am. So we waited a few mins and saw the band and characters (Mickey, Pinocchio, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Chip or Dale?....and that might have been it).

We went over to Fantasyland, walked on to Snow White and Pinocchio. Peter Pan and Mr. Toad were both consistently 40 min waits the whole time we were in FL. We never even tried to get on them. Dumbo said it was a 20 min wait......it was really more like 30 mins. The Carousel was about a 15 min wait to get on. Granted, those times aren't long waits.......it was the people milling about that was crazy busy!!! After a while, you get tired of being bumped into.

We sent a runner to get a FP for Splash at 12:45......it took him about 25 mins. to get from FL to Splash. Said that Pirates had a line about 100 yards out from the arch (yesterday was a 15 min wait). He said it was hard for him to even hurry to get there, just too many people to maneuver around.

I went to City Hall at noon to see if I could get my birthday gift card but the line was out the door and down the stairs to Main St. Sooo......will try again later in the day.

We're having dinner at Rainforest around 5 pm for my birthday....then back into the parks to use our FP's and hit the rides we couldn't get on this morning.

More later!!!!

Couple more things.........

Princess Fantasy Faire had a 1 1/2 hr wait when we checked around 1 pm......just talked to someone else about 2:30 pm and the wait was 2 hours long!

Small World had an insane line out into the walkway.....so many people you couldn't even tell how long the wait was.

I'm curious to hear how any other people thought the crowds were today. Some person's "busy" might be not bad to another!

I believe it! I personally know 4 different families that are down there on vacation right now. Our schools are currently in their 2nd week of their 2 week break!

We also rode the Monorail out of the park into DTD and when we went by DCA, it didn't seem all that busy in the Sunshine Plaza and in the Backlot Studios area (or whatever it's called). It was a little more busy over by Soaring and Grizzly......but not as busy as DL!!!!!

We also ran into an acquantaince at the front gates......it's funny, we live 5 hours away and each time we come here, manage to run into someone we know from home!

Two week break! WOW! I didn't that even existed!

Crazy, huh? It is actually a nice schedule. They call it "modified traditional" here. They get a 2 week Fall break, 2 week December break, and 2 week March (spring) break. They then only have an 8 week summer. Which is long enough in my opinion! :lmao:

Do you mind me asking when their 2009 fall break is?

We were there on Sunday and whilst there was bad weather it wasnt that busy at all when the sun came out then it became busy...

Saturday we did Magic Morning and walked onto Space Mountain and then walked out and saw everyone running for it as the park just opened... so we wandered off to Splash and rode 4 times in a row without getting off and was in shock at the lack of the line.

I was there on Sunday too and was super surprised at how things went that day. It was great! We switched Sunday for Monday when we saw the weather, and it looks like it is a good thing we did. The only problem now, is how the rest of the week will go. LOL!

I'm not surprised it's busy. We're going on Friday to see the new parade (DNephew is in it :goodvibes ) and I'm sure it's going to be packed! :crowded: :scared1:

Lucky ? for me DD9's school is year round so no spring break. Looking forward to going again (alot) in May.

all of the schools (40+) in our city (Boise) are out this week, too. sounds like you're catching some spring break traffic!

These are the dates the universities are taking thier spring breaks! I can see why last week was so BUSY! I am so happy that our school has a completely different schedule. WHEW! The total number of enrolees last week make the other weeks look like off season. WOW! Thought I'd share my find, sorry it's such a long post!

We were there Monday and it was crazy busy. Probably because it was overcast Sat and raining Sunday. Beautiful day. Got a late start so did the rope drop at CA and tried to do toy story but got in line to find out it was closed and screamin' too. Bummer. We had already done everything we wanted thanks to magic morning sat., cold weather and rain on Sunday. We had our ponchos and it was fantastic! We went back to the room too for about 4 hours, ate hamburgers grilled on our foreman on he balcony at HOJO's :-). I soaked my tootsies in the jacuzzi (sooo great) Utilized our fast passes later-- awesome day.
