My son and I have a 6 day hopper and I am trying to plan days in the park. We will be in Anaheim from 11/20 -11/28.

I was looking over the annual passports. It appears 2 SoCal and Deluxe passports have blackout dates of Thursday 25 - Sunday 28. Would these be good days to go? I keep reading Monday-Wednesdays are better days, but was thinking less SoCal people the better.

If the passports are blocked out, they are expecting large crowds those days. I've read that the entire week of Thanksgiving is really busy, you're probably going to see fewer people in the parks on Mon-Wed.

I've been reading That it will be very manageable that week. The following week is when it is going to get hectic.

According to DISers, last year over Thanksgiving week the days leading up to Turkey day were busy but Thanksgiving day and the days following were nice ~ we visited over the 4th of July weekend this year *when all those same passes were blocked* it was very manageable ~ I'd return then again *so long as APs are blocked ;) - we're also visiting Thanksgiving day, Fri & Sat this year!

Yep. This is what I experienced last year. We were there Sat - Tues before Thanksgiving last year. It was very busy! The wait for holiday Small World was 45+ minutes just after sunset. :scared1:

I was not there on Thanksgiving and beyond, but from what I read, the crowds actually diminished for the holiday weekend compared to the days prior.

As always, if you plan ahead, collect and use FP's wisely, get there at rope drop, etc. even a busy park is manageable. And of course, the magical Xmas decorations cannot be beat! :thumbsup2

Have a great trip!
