After a fun-filled, hectic, family Thanksgiving that lasted for five days, I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend!

I went out this morning and did some more Christmas shopping. Michael's Crafts Store is a dangerous place to shop. They had so many things that I never knew I needed.:lmao: Lunch was warmed-up chop suey from last night.

Going out to an early dinner with my husband tonight, then back home to relax for the evening, maybe get started on wrapping some presents.

Saturday, I'm putting the tree up and decorating it, and cooking a beef stew in the crock-pot. I'll probably put "Christmas With The Kranks" on while I work on the tree. Love that movie!:)

Sunday morning will be french toast and the Sunday paper. In the afternoon, we'll watch the Cardinals/Rams football game, and watch the Cardinals lose.:headache: I know I should be more optimistic, but they've been having a bad season without Kurt Warner.:sad2:

Looking forward to a quiet weekend. How is your weekend shaping up?

Oh yeah, Monday evening we'll be watching the Patriots/Jets game!! Patriots fans here!!

I'm going to be kinda busy this weekend.

Tomorrow, I get to pick up my first pair of bifocals. :scared1: Can't wait for that. And I need to get moving on the Christmas shopping. I just buy for 8 nieces & nephews, my dad & my sister, but I've only bought stuff for 1 niece & 2 nephews. Thankfully, the kids are older, and they want gift cards, so that's easy enough. And I need to start cleaning the extra bedrooms in case my brother & his family come to NY for Christmas. (I use the rooms as a place to put clean laundry, hide presents, etc.)

Tomorrow evening, 2 of my nieces (ages 11 3/4 & 8) are coming for dinner. I'm making ham, mac & cheese, rolls, salad, corn. Most of that can be done without too much of my involvement!

Sunday should be quiet, so I'll just get some laundry done.

And I know what you mean about Michael's--they opened a store 5 minutes from my house this past July. I love that place! But boy do I spend money in that place, too! Did you notice all the Disney stuff for $1??? ;)

Tomm. we will be packing for Disney

Sun - we will be flying in around 4 pm, checking into the Poly and then off to Via Napoli for dinner and Illuminations.

Its going to be a great but freezing cold week!:santa:

OP: I just want to say I love your pics. Carter always has so much joy!!:)

DD is getting over bronchitis all week, so I will not be planning anything fun outside the house like shopping and stuff.

So I guess I will decorate for Christmas.:yay:

Busy!

We've got a craft show from 9-5 on Sat and again from 9-3 on Sunday.:scared1:

I think we will pull down our Christmas decorations. :) DD10 is watching her friends dog while they are out of town so she will go see Marley a few times a day but otherwise no big plans. Should be a nice quiet weekend at home. :)

We have a storage unit. We are emptying it out. Alot will get donated. Unfortunatly we need to move everything out the following weekend. I have to sell stuff off as well. In a 2 bedroom apt and somethings are way to big. Like my kithcen table and hutch. Oh well. Our relaxing time will be for new years weekend.

Today was erranda, out tonight to a favorite bar. I get to wear some new high heels.

Tomorrow wood working class with my DD at 10, then a Gingerbread House workshop at 3:30. I have a big lunch planned with Monta Cristo sandwiches. Then walk a block to the Main Street for a Christmas parade. After that dinner...I usually don't decide what to make until that day.

Sunday...wrapping and football.

Lisa

Pretty quiet weekend.

Today it has been cold and snowy so I worked on a bit of homework and got some of the Christmas decorations down.

Tonight we are having vegetable beef soup for dinner and will probabaly start decorating while watching some movies.

Tomorrow morning I will do a little laundry and some cleaning.

Tomorrow night I am having some friends over for dinner.

Sunday will be spent finishing up homework and just relaxing.

I should be enjoying a nice quiet weekend. Tomorrow is a few craft fairs and some Christmas shopping. I don't have to do any decorating. My husband did all that earlier this week while I was at work. So I get to enjoy it all without doing any of the work! Sunday is grocery shopping and maybe some housework. And hopefully a nap.

It is going to be such a busy weekend! It is the week before finals so I have to study, write an essay, work on a power point, re write 2 essays, write a final comp. (in italian), and watch and italian movie (for class). I also need to work on my resume. So much to do.

Tomorrow morning DD has dance class and in the late afternoon, a friend's birthday party to attend.

Sunday will be a lazy day of church, cleaning, and lounging.

We also need to get a Christmas tree. We have a fake one, and I am very disappointent in how it looks. We bought it in 2008, and I said it was awful then, but I made due. Last year, due to time and other things, I didn't put up a tree. The other night I set up the fake one, and my hubster threw a fit over how crappy it looked (same one he told me to "make due" and "deal with" in 2008). Anyway, at some point this weekend, we will go buy a real tree.

I wish it would be a quiet weekend, but it's 2 weeks until finals so there is no relaxation anytime soon.

I need to finish my accounting assignment tonight or tomorrow depending on when I get an email back from my professor. I also have a Stats assignment to do at some point, but it hasn't even been posted yet, and may have to redo some Econ homework (prof will send it back and we can resubmit for a new grade).

I have to finish up my Christmas cards.

I have to start wrapping presents.

Tonight is Cajun Shrimp Casserole.

Tomorrow mom is making Pepper Steak with rice and egg rolls (I don't have to cook!)

Hopefully at some point, I will get a chance to sleep.

I'm leaving for Disney on Sunday!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I thought it was going to be a quiet weekend, but then at about 4:30 this afternoon, my inbox got flooded with "last minute" work -- ack! Looks like I'll be hitting the computer this weekend. Good thing I enjoy the work!

I see little hope of much slowdown between now and the New Year! :rotfl2:

My morning started with physical therapy appt. :goodvibes

If I manage all this :lmao: hopefully next week we can put our tree up and decorate :santa:

*luvflorida, love the new pix of sweet Carter ~ he gets cuter w/each photo, and know he'll make your C'mas xtra special!

Tomorrow, I work into the early afternoon, and then we are heading downtown to the Gaelic League for their 90th Anniversary, where my husbands grandfather will be bartending. My MIL and some of our friends will be there.

Sunday, I am hanging out and doing laundry. :)

Let's see.. I have some packages that I have to wrap - and then get them ready to ship out via the post office..

I have to try to nail my DGD down (don't know what her plans are for the weekend) for at least 15 minutes or so in order to decide what kind of Christmas cookies we're going to bake this year.. Then I have to look and see what additional ingredients I might need from the store.. (From looking at the calendar this afternoon and seeing what day Christmas falls on - and when her break starts - it looks like we either have to bake next weekend or the weekend after..)

I still have to unpack more of my stuff that I brought back from the lake - and get some of it downstairs - but had to wait until DGD and/or her dad were home to help me.. Too many dizzy spells lately and after two falls in 9 months, I don't want to chance falling down the stairs to the basement while I'm carrying a bunch of stuff.. (DGD did help me some earlier this evening before she had to go out with her mom..)

Laundry.. I have lots of laundry.. Think I might also take the time to weed through my clothes and see what can be donated.. In the past 8 months or so I've noticed I have quite a few things that I never, ever wear and they're just taking up space.. Might as well donate them to a good cause..

Write checks for a couple of bills.. (Shoot! Just remembered I was supposed to call my new health ins. co. today with my choice of primary care physician so they could mail me my card and I totally forgot!!! :headache:)

Other than that, I think I have a pretty "non-hectic" weekend ahead of me.. Yeah - there's some things I "could" do - wrap all the gifts that have arrived at the house; write a few letters; write out my Christmas cards; - but nothing pressing..

If I can do all of the above, I'll be happy..:santa:

We're still recovering from a big snowstorm yesterday. So tonight I'm taking it easy with a sore back. Tomarrow will be some cleaning. DH has had a very busy week & it will only get worse for the next few weeks. So tomarrow night we'll go out for a relaxing dinner. Maybe a movie depending how tired we still are. Maybe just rent a movie & have an early night.

I haven't started my shopping yet, but I'm on vacation next week, so I'll shop then. Sunday I'll get my lists together & make plans for the week.

Luvflorida, that is the cutest little guy! He looks like such a happy boy! :)

Oh yea, they are calling for more snow , so I'll be doing more shoveling, too. :headache:
