With only five weeks before our holiday, :cheer2: I thought I really need to put pen to paper and work our our trip plan. (I know some of you make your plans months in advance but I have been collating information and tips for a while now). OK, so I sit surrounded by printouts and scribbled notes and I soon encounter a problem. I have conflicting info on which are the busiest days at the parks. Undercovertourist say one thing and then other sources say the opposite. The extra magic hour info differs on this site to the mouseforless site. Help! I don't feel that I can continue until I get the correct info, I know it can make a big difference to the experience if the parks are less busy.
Can someone help please?

Hello,

I would use the information gained from the internet (for the life of me I cannot remember the website most of us have been looking at but I am sure someone will let you know!) as with the introduction of the new EE/E-Ride nights the guide books will be slightly out of date.

Hi Ali,

I have exactly the same problem. I didn't even look at the books as I knew they would be out of date but the internet sites differ as well. From a quick look at Touringplans.com and askdaisy.net many of the differences seem to be caused by certain holidays.

For example Askdaisy has Mondays as a good day for MK but 4th July is a Monday and is always busy so Touringplans has this day as a bad day for MK.

Added to that, Disney seems to be liable to change the days (although I'm not sure they have). :confused3

I decided to checkout the Disney website for EMH days and avoid those parks on those days. I reckoned that was about as good as I'd get given I doubt anyone really knows how the changes will affect park attendance.

We found that last month Monday was busy at MK, Friday was quieter, to a certain degree MK will always feel busy as it is a smaller park, than some of the others, MGM even at Easter was easily doable in a day as was AK.

I stuck to simon viness's advice on what day to visit certain parks and it worked out really well. The only park that was busy was Magic Kingdom and that was a quite day that we had gone on. I asked a cast member if this was a busy day and was told that Mk was quite today. So Mk is busy any way but can get worse as its smaller. Ide hate to be their at Christmas

most of the time it will be busy the best advice is to go early sometimes we go and wait at the gate even before it opens do the rides you want to getting fastpasses for rides later in the evening(you dont have to go in the hour it tells you only after the first time on ticket )we then usaly go back to resort swim shower meal ext then go back in evening relaxed and refreshed and do our fastpas rides ect and watch any fireworks this has worked for us at all times of yeart from may to christmas day and new years eve

Thanks to everyone for your comments. I have a further question, If a park opens early for Extra Magic Hour, will it be busy all day? For example if we wanted to go to Epcot in the afternoon and stay for the evening show on a EMH day, would it still be busy? Conversely, if a park is open for extra hours in the evening, when would it start to get busy? I realise it is not an exact science but I would appreciate anyone sharing their experiences.

Hiya,

Having read a lot of trip reports I get the impression when onsiters use the EMH in the morning they tend to leave early aswell around the 10.30-11.30 mark. And when they use the E-Ride nights it seems they arrive 6-7pm ish
