Busted stocking up on Alien Green Mickeys!

My DH and DD went to Home depot and I had my DD grab some paint chips. I'm getting them ready for our 12/2 trip. Plus I'm practicing my Focker hand signal so get ready!!!!

I was at Home Depot on Friday buying some paint (not Alien Green).
I felt my hand being drawn toward those green Mickey heads, but I thought of this thread and it helped me to fight the temptation.
I mananged to get out of Home Depot wihtout any green Mickey heads (there was a clerk right there by the paint chips, so it would have been hard to make a get-away with a bunch of them anyway).

The "focker signal" is what Robert DeNiro does to Ben Stiller in Meet The Parents. Where he puts his pointer & middle finger to his eyes & then points his finger at Ben Stiller. There is a link to the thread where this all started in my signature. VERY funny read.

I'm going to Home Depot on Wednesday and I'll ask if it's ok if I take a few. I've always forgotten to get some before. The sales people will look at me like I have 3 heads but at least I'll have my LGMHPC. Next week,I'm hoping to see the Focker salute!!

Must get to HD to get some. This will be our first trip to WDW...and I hope to have some LGMH's adorning our stroller and persons...lol!

Well, all I can say is that if HD pays for these, then they are a good investment for the company. Personally, I prefer Lowe's but I will frequent HD when we are planning a trip to WDW. If the LGMHPC are the 'loss leader' to get customers into their store, they should be happy to be getting off so cheaply. Think about how much money other stores spend trying to get people in their doors.

Hey! Maybe Home Depot should put up a banner outside the store...."FREE LIME GREEN MICKEY HEAD PAINT CHIPS!!! (Limit of 1 per family- They do cost us after all!)

Gosh, I've never asked about taking paint chips, that's what they're there for. I don't take all the LGMH ones that they have, tho. I spend so much money at Home Depot, that I figure they're not losing anything by my taking a couple -- and they get a lot of free advertising from us DISers from it!!

Yes, I posted about it yesterday on the thread "When you see Disser's at the Park." It was hysterical. In case you haven't seen it, let me set it up for you. The Dad is standing at a checkout behind the cart he is pushing. The two kids are sitting in the cart with it filled up with paper. The Dad says to the cashier, "we can't go anywhere without getting paint chips." Or something to that effect.

I just grabbed a bunch of LGMH's today! They must've restocked since I was last there!! The paint nazi-chick wasn't paying attention!

Awwww...what a GREAT idea!!!! My HD is chocked full of them here in Dallas! I have allowed my kids to get one when we go in sometimes.....now I guess MOMMY gets to get some! I have, lets see......6 months to save? We drop a TON of money into HD...making at LEAST 1 trip a week (and that is an understatement)......PLEASE, go find something more constructive to complain about, like unrestrained children in cars?

I just read this whole thread, and oh man, the idea that each one costs the company like 25 cents? ROFL! They're paper! It probably costs them 25 cents... to make a thousand of them!

What about people who take a giant stack of napkins at fast food restaurants, only use half, and then throw the rest away? You guys are going to make McDonalds go broke! They can not afford for you to be wasting their paper products in such a manner! If you are taking more than one napkin per entree purchased, you really should offer to pay.

You can always do what I did - I bought a Mickey head punch at my local scrapbook store and lime green paper and am making my own LGMH's to give out.

I do have to admit that I went to Home Depot but they only had one Alien Green head and it was all written on. I took it to make sure that I had could match the paper to it.

That's brilliant. I know you can't charge for them, but if I ever need an alien green tag can I at least reimburse you for materials and postage?

Uh oh, I just took 4 from my local HD just last week (and I didn't ask first - my bad)! I hope they don't have to close now - I'll feel so guilty for being the cause!

Ok, I have to say I love your Siggy and I will be there Jan 3rd to the 10th so we over lap a few days. I will be on the look out. However I will have a steal blue baglini and 2 very cute kido's (and one hot hubby if you ask me.) I need to get some LGMH and make a sign for the stroller though.
