Has anyone had any luck with re-attaching a prong to the back of a pin?
One of my Lucky Fortune Cookery prongs broke off the first time I wore it. :( -- Of course once we RETURNED from CA!
DH used liquid nails and reattached the prong. That worked until the next time I removed it from the card. :( :(
I can return the pin to TDS, but would rather get a replacement. I e-m'd DL. Cross my fingers on a positive response.
I also took this pin to a jeweler's yesterday. They said they can sodder (sp?) the prong back on. BUT they would not guarantee that the heat would destroy the front of the pin.
Who else has had their backs broken? ;)

At the recommendation of several board members, we've tried Super Glue, and had much success.

I believe the best type to use is the gel type.

Hope this works for you! :D

Wal-Mart sells the best thing I have ever seen in my life! Stronger than Crazy Glue...

It is an epoxy glue, sold in the hardware section. It comes in a double tube that looks like a syringe. You actually have to squeeze a small amount and mix in the two different chemicals before you use it. That thing gets as hard as a rock! It dries clear, and I have not yet been able to separate anything I have used that epoxy for.

Home depot sells another epoxy in a tube used to seal metal pipes and such. You also have to mix in two different chemical putties but once you do, you better apply it soon. It hardens like a rock.

I would look for a chemical that bonds metal surfaces rather than Crazy Glue. I know what it claims, but my experience is that it is not as durable as the ones I mentioned. Let's not even talk about how much of that crap you get on your fingers each time you use it!

What about that product called E-6000 I believe it's sold in hobby and craft stores. You might try giving that a shot.

Used the epoxy with great success. If you do go the super glue route use the gel it doesn't run all over the pin.
