Business letter change???

The legal department just sent out an email stating that we are no longer allowed to staple, paperclip, etc any letter that is two or more pages. The reasoning? Someone might not see that there are several pages to the document!

I can only imagine what led up to this latest craziness.

Um, can't you just "1 of 2" them or something? It seems like it would be worse just to have them all loose.

This is yet another example of changing a reasonable system for everyone because of the carelessness and lack of responsibility of a few. I'm sure someone only signed page one of some forms and rather than apologize for the oversight on their part--they complained and blamed YOUR company for THEIR mistake. Oh How I wish we would go back to the days in this country where people were held accountable for their own mistakes. SIGH
