Busiest day for check in??

Does anyone know what day of the week is the busiest day for checking in to a WDW hotel??? Just curious, we check in to POP this friday. Our flight lands at MCO around 10:30am, by the time we pick up the rental and drive, it should be around noon. I have visions of walking in and seeing a line of 500 poeple trying to register.....I plan on having the boys pack their suits and just going to the pool while I wait in line.

I don't know about POP or arriving on a Friday but we arrived at YC using ME at 11:00am on a Wed. and we were the only ones at the front desk, coming or checking out.

I know my Disney guide book says that Friday is one of the least busy check-in days. I found that hard to believe, but there it was in print. I know when my husband and I went in Dec 2004 (week before Christmas) it only took us a few minutes to check into the POP (no line at all). I can't recall the day of the week, but it ws about the same time of day you'll be getting there.

We stayed at the Polynesian from a Sunday to a Saturday, and I can confirm that check-in is EXTREMELY crowded on Friday. The resort was packed to capacity and there were no available seats at any of the restaurants (except Captain Cook's).
