Busier day for MVMCP?

I have 10 nights at WDW in Dec. I am looking at 12/9 for MVMCP. 1) its cheaper by $7 a ticket (we need 6). 2) its after Pop Warner...

Thats a Sunday... should I look at a weekday instead of a Sunday night? I was also looking at 12/16.

About how many tickets do they sell for each one? Should I hurry and get a ticket?

I'd always opt for a weekday over a weekend.

I would think that particular Sunday would be a great time! The "tourist" crowds are supposed to be low and for the locals, it's a school/work night...and the kids there will still be in school.

We arrive on 12/14 and are planning on doing the Sunday 12/16 MVMCP. Hopefully we will miss the holiday crowds. We will probably go to a second party on Thursday of that week. We really enjoy seeing it "snow" on Main Street!

The dates where they give the "advance purchase" discounts tend to be less crowded than the ones where they don't (that's why they give the advance purchase discounts).

The days they give deeper advance purchase discount to annual passholders or DVC members tend to be even less crowded.

And I have heard that they cut off the ticket sales at 20,000 but that may only be a rumor.

Thank you! I think I will stick with the 9th then! A Sunday night... AFTER Pop Warner.. I think that might be a good night, at least I HOPE!

My wife, MIL and I are doing this on 12/4 and cannot wait.

It has been suggested that a show during the week as opposed to a weekend night might be a little less hectic as the weekends tend to draw in the locals.
