No relation, unless there's a discount!
So at 205 days out, I feel compelled to begin the pre-trip report. I'll start with a little history:
We are a family of 4 from Beaumont, Tx.
Myself-Mom, I'm a SAHM. I recently took a job working for my mom. She sells insurance, it drives me crazy, but I love her.
I work 2 days a week 9-2 while I send DS 3 to mothers day out at church. I don't care for the job & before asking for it I made a point to mention that I would not make sales calls. With that, I make about $100 each week. It all goes to Disney! And that's the whole reason I started working in the first place. So with the big 8 hour work week, I still consider myself a SAHM.
DH AKA Dad - Dad is a Toyota Technician (mechanic, but he prefers technician
) This January he passed the test to be MDT. I know that means nothing to you, but it is the highest level of Toyota "Technician" there is. I'm proud! Dad is also helping coach DS 5 (almost 6) baseball team.
DS6 - His birthday is in two days! We are having a pirate bowling party. ARRG! He is wild and full of energy, so we try to put a little of it into sports, but he still has plenty. I mean a lot, not normal 6YO energy. I would almost say ADHD, but since I believe that is just some fictitious disorder to explain some childrens overabundance of energy, we are not going there. More likely, I think he is going undiagnosed for a learning disability (not that he is having any trouble learning). As many with learning disabilities have no trouble learning, but lots of problems with social behavior, so does DS. He's in Kindergarten, but reads at a 2nd grade level, tells time, counts money, and adds & subtracts double digits.
Finally DS3 - It is his 4th birthday that we will be celebrating in Disney this year! Now is the time that I mention that my children are extraordinarily tall. At 3.5 this child is 3.5 ft tall, that's right 42" tall enough to ride some of the thrill rides like dinosaur! DS6 is just 6" taller at 4ft even. My little one is fearless and will be riding everything he can when we get there. He just started the mothers day out as I mentioned earlier and when I come to pick him up he tells me to leave, "I need to play with my friends."
He's stubborn too, you can't tell him anything, everything must be done his way.
And that's my family.
Our trip is scheduled for 9/27-10/2, just in time for food and wine and I'm hoping for a MNSSHP!
I have made a trip to WDW nearly every year with my family since I was 12. When we got married, DH requested a honeymoon in Disney. He had never been anywhere and I told him the decision was his since I have traveled all over the country. I must have talked a lot about Disney b/c he knew that's where he wanted to go. Of course I had no objection and I called Daddy! My dad would be paying for the honeymoon and when I told him we chose WDW, he was like "Why do you want to go there?"
Some people just don't understand. He hates Disney and he hates crowds. So for the honeymoon we flew to disney and stayed off site. Never again! Let me mention that this was the first trip I ever went on as an adult (age 20) & I did the planning. Stupid, stupid, stupid...
Since this trip we have gone to WDW with BIL and his wife about 4 times. And that's who we will be going with this time too! Or will we...???
Next time: Can we talk BFFs into going with us?
