Has anyone ever stayed at this resort using the world passport collection? My husband and are considering going for a weekend but are not sure if the points make it a worthwhile transaction. Any suggestions would be great...

The Villas at Fairways is a standard rated resort that is rated 7.73 on TUG. I don't know the resort itself and didn't read the reviews. You might consider Hershey instead as the resort there is clearly better. Both are in RCI points so are potentially available for less than a week. It's hard to imagine that either are worth while for a $95 exchange fee and a likely housekeeping fee. There is quite a lot of availability for the Bushkill resort including summer for a full week. There is also a lot of availability, including summer, for 2 nights in June which is where I stopped. The housekeeping fee is $40-79 depending on the unit size but not applicable to a full week.

If you know anyone that has RCI weeks or points you'd be far better off working with them than going through RCI for such an option. I'd bet you could easily rent for a weekend for around the exchange costs you'd incur using DVC and still have your points.

I stay there about once a year for a weekend to play golf. They are fine, nothing special about them. At least they are clean.

Went here 2007, daughter's team was attending competition. Majority of our team families were disappointed (very). It is possible that it could have improved since then. I'd read what others post here and find other reviews too on the internet. Check cash rates because jmho, it is definitely not worth using points based on experience we had unless you've got points that you're going to lose because you can't make use of them anywhere else and even then, I'd try to rent them or transfer them to another member instead. Also, there are newer and/or better places in Poconos and those may even be in same price range.

Thanks so much for all the info! I think we are going to save the points and book a hotel in the area instead. Would have LOVED to stay at the Hershey resort but they only have 2 bdrm units and it is just for 2 of us Again, thanks for all the info!!!
