BUSH: WAR WITH IRAQ MAY BE ONLY WAY TO FIND OUT IF IT IS AS EVIL AS NORTH KOREA
Prez Praises Pyongyang For Fessing Up to Evilness
President George W. Bush, forced to perform a delicate balancing act thanks to North Koreas startling nuclear revelations, today defended his threats of military action against Iraq by arguing that "war may be the only way to determine whether Iraq is as evil as North Korea."
In a speech to veterans of the Panama invasion, President Bush commended the North Koreans for fessing up to their evilness, adding, North Korea has said, hey, we're evil and we're making newkular weapons. But Saddam Hussein refuses to do that."
The President challenged the Iraqi strongman to follow Pyongyangs example and admit that he is as evil as the North Koreans, but warned, If you wont, well have to attack you to prove it.
While Mr. Bush's explanation of his apparent double standard seemed to play well to his supporters, Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle called it the "lamest thing I've heard since Eminem did that duet with Elton John on the Emmys a couple years back."
"Let me get this straight," Senator Daschle said. "We're attacking the country that doesn't have nuclear weapons, but we're using diplomacy with the country that has them? No disrespect, but sometimes I think this President is puffing on one big bodacious bong."
Having said that, Senator Daschle added, I will support any and all resolutions the President might propose for dealing with Iraq, North Korea, or any other country he wants to do something to.
