According to the poll, only 37 percent approve of Bush’s job performance — his lowest mark ever in the survey. That’s a two-point drop since the last NBC/Journal poll, and a one-point decline from his previous low of 38 percent last November. In addition, just 26 percent believe the nation is headed in the right direction, a tie from the previous Bush administration low, which also occurred in November.

If you look at the the NBC/WSJ poll, it has a margin of error of + or - 3% and the Pew research is + or - 4%. In fact, from the web site given in the thread, Pew research itself says:

In addition to sampling error, one should bear in mind that question wording and practical difficulties in conducting surveys can introduce error or bias into the findings of opinion polls.

Take surveys for what they are worth, a tool to get people to read them.

Like it or not, polls are not going to influence this President.

If you can't gloat after any elections, gloat about someone's low popularity I guess.

Sadly, some people like to blame all there problems on the President (and will never give him any credit).

I am generally pleased with most of the tough decisions our President has had to make. I appreciate his hard work and the hard work of those around him who are also serving our nation. Thank you, Mr. President. :sunny:

Add: I, too, would like to see how all these surveys are worded.

we are all entitled to our opinion. I dont think he has made many good decisions for the middle class but that is my opinion.

Middle class??? A few more years of this and that will be a thing of the past....
Wish I had relatives with oil rigs.....

Well, I guess the glory of living in the great US of A is that I have the freedom to say "I didn't vote him in!!!!"

if he hits 0 do we riot or revolt or something ;) ? has this ever happened? :confused3

I can't think of one single thing that man has done that has benefited anyone in this nation, except for the corporate giants.

That will never happen because for some unexplained reason there is always a few percentages of "undecideds" out there...these people must be the moronic population among us. How on earth can someone STILL be "undecided" about the Bush Administration??? :sad2:

the tax cut really didn't affect us, we still broke about even. let's not forget the country is now over 8 TRILLION dollars in debt. we're going to pay for the tax cuts soon, so will our children and grandchildren. why oh why, did I vote for this guy?

Some of us can't be bought for 400 dollars.

WOW! Can't be bought???? What were they "buying"?

So how much would it take to "buy" you?

Did you send it back? You know you could just send and extra $400 with your tax return since you think keeping more of YOUR money from the government is some sort of bribe.

Paying in or getting back means nothing. Everyone got a tax cut. Even you.

I think it's sad, Pres. Bush could bring about world peace, find a cure for cancer, and solve the worlds hunger crisis and the left/Dems would still have some kind of problem with him. :(

He can't even eat a pretzel without choking, so him accomplishing anything of the above is as probable as WMD in Iraq.
BTW, most probably he doesn't even know how to spell 'Peace' ;)

And your point? I tend to believe that Kelly, Chris, Shawn and Anthony are safer for what the President has done and is doing then if he had done nothing at all. Its good to see a President that is driven by principal instead of poll numbers. :thumbsup2

Tax Cut! What a joke! Thanks to that tax cut, my property taxes will now be going up, just as perdicted. Cut one place and you get raised elsewhere.
