Bush Gardens

We are planning a day at each, Bush Gardens and Adventure Island, we will be leaving Cocoa Beach and driving to Indian Shores on a Saturday in the beginning of May. My question is, how busy will either park be on a Saturday in May? Disney crazy busy? Or doable? Just wondering if we should go to 1 park on our way to Indian Shores.We have the option of waiting a few days as we will be in Indian Shores for 1 week. Have 2 teen loving roller coaster riders and waterpark a must for hubby. The rest of our trip will be spent at the beaches. Tia

It depends on the date but Busch Gardens have a food and wine festival (with concerts) that happens on spring week-ends. That could really increase crowds (especially if the concert that night is a popular act). However, festival nights also tend to have extended hours (ie. I think normal hours are 10am to 6pm but the park may be open until 9pm if food & wine is happening). I've always found I don't have enough time in the park - there's a lot to see and do and even when crowds aren't huge, I find the coasters take awhile (the staff seem really slow and inefficient when it comes to getting the coasters loaded and out of the station - especially if you're used to the efficiency of Disney/Universal). It's a fairly short drive from Indian Shores (around 45 minutes) so you may want to wait for a quieter week day.

Are you driving from Cocoa Beach to Indian Shores & then do a 1 Day Visit to Busch Gardens ?

It is at least a 90 min Drive to Hwy I-4 ( Celebration Area ) & another 90 min Drive to Tampa

It will be May 5th that we were thinking, driving from Cocoa beach to Indian Shores to stay for a week. Is the front of the line pass worth it? Is there usually long lines?
