We've never stayed at either the BCV or the Boardwalk. I'd like to give them a try but each time we take a bus to either place the bus stops at the Dolphin, the Swan, then the Beach Club and the Boardwalk. A real downer as far as I'm concerned. Is it always like that?? No direct bus service to either resort?

I stayed at the BCV last January and the AK bus stops at all the resorts in the area(BC/YC/Swan/Dolphin/BW).

For the MK, it was BC/YC and BW/Swan/Dolphin.

I was just at WDW for Thanksgiving and they were the same configuration at MK and AK(checked because I have a BWV trip in Jan).

That's the way I've always experienced it-for every theme park except MK the bus stops at BWV, Swan, Dolphin, YC, BC. For MK, theoretically there's a seperate bus/seperate bus stop for YC/BC and BWV/Swan/Dolphin. However, one time when I left MK, I watched the bus for BCV pull away from the bus stop. I thought I'd missed it, but surprisingly the same bus then went over to the BWV bus stop so I ran over there. I asked the bus driver about it and he said that when times are slow, sometimes the same bus will go to both bus stops, then do the entire BWV/Swan/Dolphin/YC/BC route. I think that's very unusual, though, since it's only happened to me once in 8 trips to BCV.

We don't care for the buses to AK when staying at BWV. IIRC, you have to go to all of the EPCOT area hotels before getting back to BWV. What we did last time was get off at the first stop, (I can never remember which is which, either the swan or dolphin), and then walk across the bridge to the BWV. It saved us a bunch of time rather than having to go to all of the resorts and than back around to BWV. Plus it's not a very far walk to the villas from the bridge.

We got off at the first Swolphin hotel and walked back to BCV.

Same with taking the boat from DHS, get off at the Swolphin and walk back.

We do the same thing.

Wouldn't it be cool if they would bring the trams down to the BW/BCV area and pick us up on the trams!!!

The people Movers would be even better!!! :thumbsup2

That would be cool if they did that. My wife and I like to stay at BWV and while we are there occasionally walk to DHS or EPCOT, much faster than bus or boat b/c of all the stops.

:thumbsup2 , especially after Fantasmic. We beat the boat back to BC/YC dock last January.

AHHH -- the wonderful Disney bus system! We are DVC members at BWV and the biggest drawback are the busses. As other posters have said, we get off at the first stop (S/D/BC) and hike back as it's usually faster. It's much better in this area than others. WL you go to the campgrounds and then loop all the way around -- yikes!!! It's the reason we bought at BWV - we don't have to rely on the busses for every park.

long ago they have trams - to Epcot, Epcot resorts, BW - then back to Epcot.

It was nice - but shortly after opening BW they stopped the trams.

It would suit me if they had a single bus stop at the Swan/Dolphin for all the resorts, and especially if they had a single boat dock at the Swan/Dolphin. It only takes about two minutes to walk from there to either the BWV or the BCV, and it would do away with tons of wasted transportation time.

We have stayed at the BC a total of 4 times and only on our trip over July 4th weekend did our buses only stop at BC and YC. The other three trips they would hit all the BW resorts. I think limiting to 3 stops in one trip is reasonable, but only one stop at Swan/Dolphin would be not so much fun for those of us with really little kids in tow. We've done that walk several times, but it is rather painful when carrying sleepy toddlers after a park day. I would really then have no desire to stay at an epcot resort.
