Buses & PS ?

I will be doing the Backstage Safari (if I can get in) when I go in May, so will probably need the rest of the day to tour. My questions is--if I make PS at Rainforst Cafe for around 5:00 pm, will the WDW buses still be running when I get finished (since AK will be closing at 5:00pm). I really want to eat at RF that day, but don't want to have to go to DTD or take time out at lunch to do so.

Also I would like to make a PS for Rose & Crown at 7:45-7:50pm and then wait for a patio table (and then eat very slow) to view Illuminations. Do you think that since I'll be solo this will hurt my chances of doing so? I plan to tell them when I check in that if I get the table, I wouldn't have a problem with another party sitting with me (the waiter would get two tips from one table that way). What has your luck been getting a good patio table to view Illuminations?

Disney has busses running to the resorts from AK until the restaurant closes. They probably won't be running every 20 minutes and it MAY pick everybody up so you may end up stopping at a few resorts.
