Are they shared with the other allstars? If so, can you ever get on since you are the last stop? Does each of the 3 allstars have their own dedicated buses in the mornings? I am more concerned about getting there than getting back (we leave around dinner so no major exodus issue)

I am now debating between Pop and ASMo. DH wants movies b/c he thinks the boys will love it (I agree) but I want to be sure we aren't cursing the buses and wishing we were at Pop where we had our own buses.

I am not renting a car, so I am relying on the buses.

During less busy seasons (or times of day), they share with the other All Stars. During busy seasons, they have their own. I've stayed at ASMovies 6 or 7 times, and I recall maybe one time having a bus problem.

If you decide to stay at ASMo, request the Mighty Duck building, which is not a preferred room so no extra charge, and you will be right next to ASMu's food court and bus stop. We always stay at Mighty Ducks and use Music's food court and stop, plus you have your own pool! We have stayed there twice and never had a problem with the busses, even when we used Movies official stop. Another nice thing about staying at Ducks is at night you can choose between two busses depending on how long each line is. Anyways, just out little secret we discovered on the DIS:)

Bus rides are quite short from the ALL Stars according to PassPorter.com

All Star Buses-CBR buses---POPbuses--PO buses--- Contemporary
MK 20 min---- 20 min-----25 min------10 min---20 min(mono)
Epcot 10 min-- 15 min-----20 min------10 min---15 min
MGM 10 min----12 min-----15 min------15 min---20min
AK 10 min------20min-------15 min----15 min---20 min
DTD 15 min----20 min------20 min-----15 min---35 min

It only takes 10 minutes to get to Epcot, MGM and AK from All Stars.
MK is 20 min away. That's the same amount of time it takes on the monorail from the Contemporary.

A WORD ABOUT BUS SHARING

To me Bus Sharing at the All Stars is really a non issue.

In the mornings during Park opening hours each All Star usually has a dedicated bus.
During mid day it is usually just our stop and maybe one more on the way to the parks. On the way back sometimes it is all 3 but often Sports and Movies share and Music has it's own bus back. Each of the All Stars usually has it's own dedicated bus back from the MK.
That is a big plus. It seems like the Music bus stop usually has the shortest of the three All Star bus lines.

I guess some people who stay at POP see all 3 All Star names on the return sign of our bus stop when they head to the POP bus stop and think All Stars also has 3 stops on the way to the park.
(Even when we stop at another AS resort to load up it has not taken more than 5 minutes and we are on our way!)

we stayed at off peak times and in the morning we never shared. At night from parks they sometimes shared but mostly were separate. we also stayed might ducks and had the option of buses for ASMu or movies. Music lines were always shorter, especially at end of day.

We did share buses from airport to hotel, and ASmovies was the last to be dropped and the first to be picked up on departure day

We just returned from ASMo and most mornings we had the bus to ourselves, but when leaving the parks we shared with Sports. The movies line was the longest each evening at park closing. We used the Music Bus on a few occassions and just walked over to Movies...it is not a bad walk and a lot better than waiting in a long line with 3 tired babies!!
