Busch Gardens V.I.P. Badge?

I just won from an e-bay auction:

THIS IS A VERY RARE BADGE PRESENTED TO IMPORTANT VISITORS OF BUSCH GARDENS ANIMAL AND PLEASURE PARK.

THE BADGE HAS THE ADDED BONUS OF ALLOWING YOU TO JUMP THE QUEUES FOR THE RIDES


It is a metal badge/pin oval in shape, beige with green , red, and gold lettering. At the top it is says in green "Busch gardens"and then right below it is says in large red letters V.I.P. Below that in gold it says very important park member.

Has anyone ever seen one of these badges? Do you think it is simply something that you can buy from the gift shop or do you think it is truly a V.I.P. badge?

It doesn't matter if we get any special treatment I just thought the kids might enjoy taking turns wearing it.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know first hand, but it sounded fishy with the front of the line thing, so I did a little google search, and the pin actually says "Very Important Pass Member" along the bottom, and was supposedly a gift from a reward program for annual passholders in the mid 1990s. I doubt you will get any special perks for having it, but it probably is pretty rare! Have a good time anyway BG is a great park!!

Thank you so much for doing the google search on this. And thank you for the information. I think it will be fun for the kids to take turns wearing the badge. Last year at WDW, they wore the red GOH badges the whole trip and thought that was pretty neat.

If possible, can you send me the google link where you found the info.?

The pin arrived today. I have read up a little on Busch Gardens this week and can't find any more info. anywhere on the pin (besides the link that Disney845 was able to find).
I'm just glad it came. The kids should have fun wearing it. If only I could get another one so they won't have to take turns wearing it.
