I'm hoping someone can help me with this! We have the Discovery Cove package, which includes access to Busch Gardens. I have just been on Mears website to reserve the shuttle bus for our BG day, but I noticed that you cannot request a pick-up time for coming home? Does this mean you have to stay in BG for the whole day? We were only planning on staying a few hours and heading back to the resort or DTD, so this worries us!

If this is the case, does anyone know of any other transport options to get us there and back?

Yes you have to stay there, we got there about 10-10.30 am and left in the coach exactly 6pm.. it flew by and was just right! :thumbsup2

Did this last year and picked up the coach from universal arrived about 10:30 and the coach left at 6:30 or 7pm (sorry can't remember).

Thanks for the info everyone! :goodvibes I'm hoping the day will go in quickly! lol And I've noted a phone number that we can call over there to confirm the exact departure time from the park :thumbsup2

We caught the bus at Seaworld leaving at 9am. They played a dvd for the kids on board and we arrived about 10.30am. A chap came on board and gave us a voucher for the return journey and we were told to be back on board by 7pm. There was one couple still missing at 7pm, the driver waited about 10 minutes, confirmed with his boss that it was OK to leave and they presumably had to make alternative arrangements to get back! I initially thought the day would be too long but it went so fast we didn't get to do all we wanted to so are going back this year but are calling in on the way down for a few days at the coast so will be making the journey on our own:eek:

We caught the bus from Universal at 8.30am the other week. We only made 1 other stop and got to Busch around 10.30ish. The bus on the way back didn't pick us up until 6.50pm!! Which was 50 minutes after the park actually closed. Tbh, we didn't enjoy Busch as much as we thought it would and having to kill that time at the end of the day was a bit of a pain. It was the only full park day we did all fortnight and it took it's toll as we felt a little "trapped".

Plus, I don't think the organisation of the buses was that great :confused3 But maybe that's just me! Don't get me wrong it's a fantastic service to offer but pick-up was a bit of a free for all. Luckily we spotted 2 other groups from our bus and followed them but there was ALOT of school groups there and the bus area was just packed, there was no proper stopping point.

We got our bus from Goodings on iDrive we didnt stop anywhere else we watched Finding Nemo on the way there, Our driver said we are leaving at 6pm on the dot and if anybody wasn't there at that time he would have to leave them, he gave us his bus number and said he would be waiting at the side (bus area) so just looked out for the buses just like ours and checked their number it was fine and everyone got onboard before 6pm and we left on the dot we had Avatar on the way back :thumbsup2

We loved Busch Gardens and doing the Serengeti Safari, i do wish i was in control of when i wanted to go home though as it was so hot but time went quick and we also got the express passes so we managed to do everything except for Montu i think as it was closed.

Oh, so do they have movies on the bus? How long is the trip to Busch Gardens roughly?

Yeah, I like to be in control! lol So I would have preffered to decide when to return. but it's something that we really want to do, so I'm sure we will find enough to keep us occupied! :goodvibes

Ohh Goodings was the 2nd and only stop we did! See our driver told us the bus number and said he'd tell us where to go, then told us he didn't know where he'd be able to stop :confused3 We got the Busch video on the way there and some Robin Williams film on the way back that wasn't too bad.

Why on our day did we get picked up 50 minutes after the park closed and everyone else seems to be on park closing :confused3 Our bus didn't actually stop anywhere properly, there was a big queue of buses waiting to get in, so we basically walked half way up the car park and jumped on while it was waiting in the "traffic".

Our driver on the way back got on and off the bus like 3 seperate times to chat to guards on the road in Busch as well which delayed our return. I just felt it was a bit disorganised on the way back.
