Any suggestions of what to do first, or what to miss or not miss? It's me, DH, BIL and DD (11) Everyone does coasters except for me. I will do some, but maybe not all. Any shows that are better than others or should we skip?
We'll be there Sat 2/18 and if we buy the tickets with extra visits included, we might bop in Sunday morning before heading over to Orlando.

your first move should be for Sheikra if you want to ride it, then to Kumba. you can then take the skyride back to the other side of the park and ride Montu. that will knock the big 3 coasters out. as far as shows, don't miss katonga. I'm not sure if the new 'pirates 4D' will be open by then. take the train ride around the plain and see the animals. and don't miss the animal nursery to see what's been born recently.

I agree with SMcB on the coaster order, but if Rhino Rally is on your list of must-dos, you've GOT to hit it early. It is a SLOOOOOOW loader for sure. If you like Kilamanjaro Safaris, then Rhino Rally is NTBM. I think it's much better than KS.

Katonga is a really good show and shouldn't be missed.

You received good advice already. Arrive at opening! If you hustle to Sheikra they might let you have your own train. My kids have got there in time to have the ride to themselves. I'd go to Rhino Rally after Montu. And don't forget the free beer!

Thanks for the advice (and the consensus) We'll do as suggested -Shrieka and Kumba, then either head to the other side of the park, or save the headliners on that side for the next morning.

Just thought I'd post a quick update.
Our plans got derailed when BG decided to not open the area of the park with Shreikra until 10AM. We were there at 9 and rushed over there, only to find a rope blocking that whole back area. We jumped on Gwazi and by the time we got off it was 9:30. I figured it didn't make sense to try to head over to Rhino Rally, so we just hung out. Had to make a potty stop just as they dropped the rope so by the time we arrived at Sheikra they were saying 45 minute wait. We went on a couple other coasters in the area, and went back and it was just about a walk on. Then did Kumba and took the sky ride over. Short wait for Montu but Rhino Rally was really backed up by this time (around Noon) Wandered around, looked at animals, caught a show, drank beer and left for the day. The next morning we arrived early, did Rhino Rally first, caught and early pirate show, and went to Sheikra. There was about a 10 minute wait. Got a picture taken with a Clydesdale and left around 1PM to head to Orlando. We enjoyed the park and would go back again. I would spend more time looking at the animals. Thought Sheikra was kinda lightweight. Except for the 2 drops, there's really nothing and it's very short - time wise. Liked Montu and Kumba better.

Thanks for all the tips and the advise. We bought the Fun pass (same price as 1 day admission) so maybe we'll head over there another day next fall.
