Hi, my DD and I are going on a "girls trip" and are doing Discovery Cove. We have annual passes to Sea World, so we are planning on doing Busch Gardens with our DC tickets. Anyone been to Busch Gardens? Any tips or touring plan type suggestions? DD is 10 and 53", so she can't ride a couple of the coasters, but we want to ride most of the other rides and experience the animals and whatever else we can. I've looked on their site to get lots of info, but nothing beats the Dis! I think we are only spending 1 day there. Thanks!!

Anyone? Or suggestions on other sites for Busch Garden tips/touring plans?

Also, we have since decided we are going to also go to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium (to see Winter, the dolphin with the prosthetic tail.... My DD has a prosthetic arm & has been obsessed with Winter for a couple years now). So we are looking for a cheap and clean hotel around the area. I've heard that there are many places to stay clear of, while others are fine. Help please!!

My vote too would be for the Animal tours. We did two different ones when we where there last and everyone still talks about feeding the giraffes.
Also make sure you check out Jungular. The tigers are amazing and you can get so close to them.

We are already spending so much money on this trip (Especially with DC). I'm hoping to have a great day without adding the extra expense of a tour. Do you think a tour is necessary? Any other tips for making the most of our day? Jungala does look really cool!

Be careful taking bags with you. None of the roller coasters allow carry ons. Therefore each time you go to get on most of the rides, you have to get a locker, and pay for it.

Take a ride on the Serengeti Railway. It's a good way to see the animals on the Serengeti Plain close up.

Also check out Edge of Africa. Its a walking safari with lots of animal habitats, but the best is the hippo viewing area. Part of the viewing area shows them swimming underwater if they are awake! If you also go at the right time, you can see them getting feed.

Thanks everyone! Keep the tips/advice coming please! I feel like I know Disney like the back of my hand (well... Close), so it's weird going to Busch Gardens where I don't know anything.
