We haven't been to BG for years and were thinking of taking a day trip this time. Last time we went in November and we walked onto all the rides without a wait! However, I realise that this probably won't be the case in August!!! How long can I expect to wait for the big rides?!!!

Hi Debs:)

We tend to go more often in May and October, but did go over three years ago in August and the queues, whilst longer than we were used to in these times, were not as bad as we thought.

Busch Gardens was not a problem as I recall. We even went on Gwazi twice without queuing:thumbsup2

To be honest, we went last October and the day we went to BG it absolutely chucked it down with rain ALL day, to the point that all the big rides were shut down:( It was such a gloomy, cold day - the only people who seemed to be wandering aimlessly around the park were us Brits with our lovely yellow ponchos on - so we're actually looking forward to HOT in August::yes:: (fingers crossed we don't regret it;) ).

When we went to Florida last August 14-22, we went to Busch Gardens twice on a weekday. We arrived before 9am and were able to park in the closest lot next to the tram stop. At rope drop, we headed straight for Sheikra and walked right in. We were there all day and we never waited long, 15-20 minutes most times, and 30 minutes was our longest wait. The lines are nothing compared to WDW. Even the free beer lines were short! Like I said, we went on a weekday in mid-August. I would imagine that it would be more crowded with the locals on the weekend.

So glad for all of the Busch Garden info!!! We are going mid-July and Am so glad to know it should not be too crowded!! :cool1:

Thanks again!:yay:

Thanks for all the info, sounds as though BG will be a breeze compared to WDW!! ha! ha!
has anyone used the Shuttle Bus to get there/back? What time does it leave Orlando in the summer and what time do you leave BG to come back? Is there only one bus back or more than one?
