I wasn't sure where to post this, sorry if there is a better spot.

Here are the 2007 HOS prices ( discounts havent been released yet )

HOS is definately lower budget, they dont change every house year after year, but I think for that fact everyone tries a whole lot harder, and it is really a great event. One of my favorite memories of an unrelentless scareactor was there.

Has anyone done one of the VIP tours? I would like to know if we need to buy the event tickets!! I know you do at HHN, but I cant find any information about HOS.

TIA
DF

Yes you have to buy an event ticket in addition to the VIP tours. Just like HHN.

We have done VIP tour for the last 2 years. We did the exclusive and my son and I had a guide all to ourselves. We did every house twice
The guide even made sure there was a gap between us and the people ahead of us so we'd get the fresh scares. We also walked on to Sheikra and any other ride that was open. They feed you too.

Thank you Motherfletcher!! That is exactly what I wanted to know! We are going to be doing the private tour also. Does the event go on up until 2 am? We are getting round trip towncar service from the HRH, and I was wondering what time to be picked up. :)

If memory serves we had to be there at 5 and our guide the first year, Kate, was so cool that we stayed until 2. Last year we left an hour early but could have stayed till 2. I think we did Saturday nights both times and was sure glad that we did the tour. The line for Sheikra was backed up to the tiger habitat. At 5 the guide leads you back to the buffet dinner and the first "attraction" is the show they do at the restaurant. The other show (the naughty nurses) is not to be missed.

By HRH you mean the one in Orlando? We stayed at the one in Tampa.

We went to HOS last year and did the buffet and it was the best Halloween experience I have had, we probably did 4 houses with out seeing anyone which is something you will never see at HHN because of the crowds. It was so much fun. I love HHN but last year I thought HOS was better and I did it 1 time as opposed to the 3 times I did HHN plus I got a discount on Beer with my AP (that was awesome no matter what park I'm in). We are still doing HHN 2 times this year but we are definitely doing HOS 1 night.

yes, we are staying at the HRH in Orlando. We are going to Busch gardens during the day and staying for the HOS private VIP tour. Its going to be a long day, but I think it will be loads of fun.

jpeppers, thanks for the heads up on the AP discount on beer. You just cant beat that! lol.

Wow that sounds like a plan. Ya'll will need to get back to work to rest up?
We have stayed at the Buena Vista Palace twice. Once we were on the 26th floor of the tower which I think they call the presidential level that takes a separate key and had a great view of the fireworks. The next time we stayed in a nice suite but no view. We ate at Arthur's 27 which was a real good 6 course gourmet meal with a superb view of Downtown Disney but I'm not real keen on wearing a suit to eat. We also had massages at their spa. I think I still have the scars on my back from the hot stones.
We did the MNSSHP too. I dressed up as a Cast Member and near closing had a cast member approach me within earshot of my daughter and tell me to take off the name tag or he would have me kicked out of the park. How magical! If I had do-overs I would like to see how that would work. They encourage you to dress in costume (just not like us). A couple of wastes of time that we saw was standing in line for candy and riding the riverboat.
We have stayed at the Wyndham too and some rooms are better than others. We were upgraded with the Wyndham ByRequest program. My kids were real impressed that the pools were open all night and went swimming at 5 a.m.
We stayed at HRH for the Velvet Session too and that was the night they held their Halloween costume contest. My son got an eyeful of some "we came to win" girls.
We have done the HOS tour one night and the HHN RIP Tour the next and the HHN is great but its hard to beat having a guide for just the two of us.
The coolest thing about HOS was that they plant employees in the line to look like guests and have a scareactor abduct them. My son freaked out when he saw that.
Sounds like you have a great Halloween Holiday planned so have fun.:scared1:
