Busch Garden Williamsburg discounts anywhere?

forgot we're staying at Governor's Inn in think about 66.00 night! also free continental bkfast - walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg..

i am getting tickets for Busch Gardens and Water Country - i think triple A has the best prices for this duo..think its 7 days unlimited! check out their site if ur a member - its just a couple of dollars cheaper than on the website of Busch Gardens..

Can u buy the big refillable mugs inside the park? how much? i see u can get in online for about 5.50!

thanx...

Not really huge savings, but I just noticed on my can of Mountain Dew:

It is a savings of $6.00 off each ticket to Busch Gardens Williamsburg and can be used for up to six discount admissions. Just present the can at the ticket window. It's good up until Sept 6, 2010!

We are here now! We got a refillable cup today. It was 7.95 (plus we paid $2 for the shoulder strap). Afterwards, it is $1 per refill for the rest of the year. They are good at BG and Water Country, Sea World, BG Orlando, Aquatica, etc. Since we will be going to all of them during 2010 (and BG VA many times), it was a great deal for us. We like tea or lemonaide and all just drink from one until it's empty.

 LOOK at the fun stuff below that is going on this summer at Busch Gardens Williamsburg!!! I am soo excited a parade and fireworks... a living cuckoo clock... :yay::yay:

You might want to look into renting a timeshare. You can get some good deals if you look on the tug website. You may want to see if Ken Price (vacationupgrades) has anything available. People seem very pleased with his prices and services.

You can book room and ticket combos at the Busch Garden's website as well. Also you can pick up discounts for local resturants from the tourism guides you can get at any rest stop in VA. Be forewarned there are a lot of pancake and italian resturants. Another option is to get a hotel that has a small kitchenette in the room. There are several good grocery chains near most hotels you can go buy breakfast items/lunch/dinner items at and make in your room.

Are there any discounts other than through AAA ($9 off) or Pepsi ($6 off) for one day tickets? We are just driving down for the day at the end of July.

Justwanted to let everyone know we r leaving BG today, and we stayed at Governors Inn - Great Place to stay...they even have BUS service which was a nice surprise to us. the bus takes u to the parks - very convenient and on an hourly schedule - convenient and u save money on the parking! They have a Great breakfast and a really nice pool!

As of April, there was a Bounce Pass which was around $130 for a 7 consecutive day pass that included Water Country, Colonial Williamsburg and BG. Great Deal!

I paid about $90 each for these passes....and kids 6 and under are FREE!!!!!

Lisa - was it super hot like unbearable???? Thanks

We arrive in 10 days!!

Does anyone with food allergies have experience with BG or Water Country?

Don't have food allergies, but dd8 and I go all the time with my friend and her ds8, who has severe food allergies. He's lactose intollerant, allergic to eggs, all nuts and peaches. DF has no problems finding him something to eat. BG serves a good variety of food at all their dining locations.

From a local that has been to BG from the time she was knee high to a grasshopper:

It's hot here, but it's not super hot. We're in a really bad dry spell and are in desperate need of some rain. Everything is crispy here. It's been about 95-100 here every day for the last couple of weeks with high (80% or greater) humidity. It's not Florida hot, but it's hot.

Refillable mugs are right at $8 and you can refill them all day long anytime you go for $1. The cups are huge. Don't think the little cups you get at the resorts in Disney. They sell straps (I don't remember how much I keep reusing my old one) for the cups. I suggest getting them. It helps keep your hands free.

You can walk through Colonial Williamsburg for free, but if you want to take a tour it's going to cost you a little bit (if I remember correctly, it's not very expensive, but it has been quite some time since I went on one). If you're driving here, the streets in downtown Williamsburg can be difficult to navigate (lots of one ways). Just try to be patient.

Personally, I don't think the meal vouchers are worth it. My sister and I tried them for giggles this summer, and we felt that we could get a way better value paying OOP. The main problem with the meal voucher is that it's only good at certain restaurants at the park, and when we went (early May) many of them were closed (it was a seasonal thing; I'm sure if we went now they'd be open) and they didn't tell us when we purchased them.

While on meals, I 100% recommend eating at the Smokehouse in the park. In my opinion, it's the best meal in the entire park. (Just thinking about it, maybe I should make an evening trip to catch the new fireworks show and have the smokehouse for dinner :cloud9: ). Everything at BG and WC is counter service. Das Festhaus is probably (IMO) the worst meal on property, but everyone flocks there because it's inside in the AC :rotfl2:

Pepsi and Hardees's usually run promotions for discounts on tickets. Unfortunately, I'm not really great at watching out for discounts as VA residents get a discount ticket, but those two usually run promotions every year.

The good thing about going to Williamsburg is not only do you have BG and WC, but you're not far from other things to do. The VA Beach ocean front is about 2 hours from there, so it's feasible to make a day beach trip if your family wanted.

I have food allergies (someone asked about eating there with them). Don't expect the same catering that you get at Disney when it comes to food allergies. The food, overall is pretty food allergy friendly. If you're very concerned because of your allergy, stop at guest services when you enter the park (it's on the right) and they can get someone from catering to answer many of your questions (I'll warn you now, it may take a while, but with allergies it's worth it).
