Has anyone seen any discounts on Busch Gardens or its water park? Any nice "cheap motels" to stay in?

There are always coupons for the parks available locally-- usually at the fast food restaurants. Usually for Adult for child price or some amount off.

Not sure about hotel deals-- it is the busy season. The further you get from Williamsburg the better the prices, but of course, the further away you are! But if you get to far south then you are in the VB crowds.

We are going next month. They have a ticket on their website to purchase - 7 days of unlimited use of Busch Gardens, Water Country and Williamsburg. It is much cheaper than purchasing the 1 day and you get all the extra's with it. What is also nice, kids are kids ticket prices till the age 17 so my three all fit that at this time. I don't know about hotels. We are using my Brother-in-law's time share.

AAA has a discounts on Busch Gardens. Also, it only takes 15 people to make a group, so if you can hook up with another family or two, it might be worth the trouble to coordinate it.

Also, are you aware that the street through Williamsburg is a public street? You only need to pay in order to tour the houses (and, I think, to see the plantation). They also close off some of the street when they do the short Revolutionary city show. The tours are worth it, but if you will cover them in a day, you might be content with a one-day tkt and just browsing the shops, gardens and streets on a second day.

Also, the KOA nearby has nice cabins if you are willing do without a bathroom in your room.

As of April, there was a Bounce Pass which was around $130 for a 7 consecutive day pass that included Water Country, Colonial Williamsburg and BG. Great Deal!

We have stayed at the motel 6 right in Williamsburg, next to the outlet shopping and the parks. Rooms were clean and the pool was always clean. The only bad thing was the internet accesses.

We go often, as we always get season passes to BG. This year we did the Grover Pass which was a huge savings.

We are going this weekend. We are staying two nights at the Days Inn Williamsburg Busch Gardens, which is directly between BG and WC. With advanced purchase, both nights total $160.

We will be going to Busch Gardens and Water Country for free. Williamsburg is also free to just wander the streets and shops and see the sights. If it was a once in a lifetime trip, I'd say go for the tours. If you go often, the free stuff is more than adequate and fun.

We also LOVE the Yankee Candle store!! We spent two hours there the last time and can't wait to go back this weekend. Totally free unless you get crazy with the candle purchasing!

If you order online, you can get the Bounce pass for $98.80 for adults, $82.00 for kids. Quite the bargain!

I only know this because I just started to do research today for our August trip. ;) Oh, and here another site that offered some great tips:

Hi. Just back from Williamsburg. We also got this 7 day "Bounce" ticket online. This was a great deal if you do all 3 in 7 days.-Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, and Colonial Williamsburg. You get free parking at each attraction, which is alot.. and you get unlimited visits during that 7 days.
If you have kids under, I think it was 6 or something, they will be free into all attractions. That saved us alot for our 3 year old who would have paid around $40(?) at water park, and $60(?) for Busch Gardens. You just "order" them a ticket for free as you order the others online, on the Busch Gardens site. I think you might get the same link on the Colonial Williamsburg site.
First use of these e-tickets needs to be at Busch Gardens or Water Country to get your hard ticket.
We also stayed at a time share location, so can't help you there.

Around here in Pacific Northwest they have been avertising $5.00 kids tickets for Tampa and Va. Busch Parks. Some kind of conservation sale???

I might be mistaken, but I think that is only for Sea World. I saw the commercial today and it said for Sea World.

i am getting tickets for Busch Gardens and Water Country - i think triple A has the best prices for this duo..think its 7 days unlimited! check out their site if ur a member - its just a couple of dollars cheaper than on the website of Busch Gardens..

Hi everyone, I am going July 19-23 with 3 adults and 2 teens (DD 16 and DS 13) and we are staying at the Travelodge on Bypass road - our suite has a bedroom with 2 dbls, a livingroom with pull out sofa - we can also get a cot, 2 bathrooms - VERY IMPORTANT, and a kitchenette (Micro/Fridge combo), outdoor pool and contin. Bfast.. paying $390 for the 4 nights.. we are purchasing 1 childs bounce back ticket for $82 - that includes free parking at the parks and 4 summer discovery tickets for $70 both tickets are good for unlimited entry to both parks for 7 full days.. contemplaing purchasing the meal vouchers - however no idea if they are good deal as i can't find any menu prices! Michelle

If you do NOT want to go to Williamsburg, Busch Gardens also has the Discovery ticket that is $79.95 and is valid for 7 consecutive days at both Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. It does not include parking but you can park hop and only pay parking once per day - just keep your receipt for paid parking.

My mom, DD9 and I did this last summer and we went for 4 days and it was fabulous. We also stayed at the Country Inn & Suites (the cheaper one further from Colonial Williamsburg) and it was a great cheap place with free breakfast and only 5 minutes from the parks.

We purchased the meal tickets last summer and while they were convenient, it was too much food for us - mainly due to the addition of dessert. We probably would have done better purchasing OOP and getting everything we wanted rather than getting stuck with a half eaten or uneaten dessert. I think you were also limited to the combo meals but I can't quite remember.

For convenience features, I would consider purchasing the meal tickets again. But I always felt terrible throwing out food.

I just looked on their site and they actually have a few different options than they did last year. They have a ticket you can buy that includes just an entree and a drink which is definitely what i would go for. The entrees last year were combo meals that included a side dish and they I go to choose a side or a dessert in addition - that's why it was too much food. This would be a much better option for us this year.

I also think that last year we purchased some kind of meal package instead of individual meal tickets.

Oh good to know.. I wondered if it was similar to disney in that your entree/combo is like a burger and fries then you add a side/dessert or two and get a drink with the voucher
