bus vs uber?

my family is taking a small, three night trip to Disney from Dec 29th-Jan 1st. we are staying at AoA, and we are rope drop people. if we want to get to MK on time in such a high volume of people, is it better to take an Uber to the Contemporary and walk rather than taking the bus? thanks!!

That would depend on your Uber driver. Back in February we had an early res for Boma so we thought Uber would be better than taking the bus from Pop, where we were staying. The driver arrived late because she was lost, she spoke no English, and got lost trying to find her way to AKL using the GPS on her phone. Despite leaving our room in plenty of time, we were almost late for our reservation.

ETA: And we couldn't help her with navigation (we are WDW vets) because she didn't speak English or Spanish.

For a 9 am opening, walk out of your room and head to the bus stop by 7:30 and you'll be just fine.

I just got home yesterday. I was staying at Coronado Springs was at the bus stop at 7:20am and missed the welcome show at 8:55. Security check is slow and very crowded. To the OP I would go to the contemporary and walk. The walkway to MK has a very short security line. Remember though you are going at the busiest time of the year.
