How many bus stops are there at OKW and does anyone know which is the first stop?
I would like to put in a request to be in building near the 1st bus stop which is Peninsular Road. Those buildings are 23 thru 29.Deb & Bill said:They go in this order:
Peninsular Road
South Point
Old Turtle Pond
Miller's Road
Hospitality House.
For the Internal and DTD/Typhoon Lagoon bus, the bus makes two stops at Hospitality House. The first and last stop.
It would be a 2 BDR. My only concern with the bus stops is when you're one of the last stops, when you get on the bus there is usually no more seats and you have to stand.Chuck S said:What size unit are you getting? Depending upon the demographics of your party, you may not want a unit under bldg 30. There was a design change at OKW during construction. For 1 & 2 bedroom units, the entrance to the master bathroom is through the master bedroom only (this is the only bathroom in a 1 bedroom unit). Bldgs 30 and higher have an additional entrance to that bathroom through the laundry room, to afford the master bedroom occupants more privacy.
Strictly from a bus perspective, there rarely is a major problem getting on a bus, no matter what stop you are near at OKW.

All buildings have studio, 1, and 2 bedroom villas, and some have GVs. I'll see if I can locate the breakdown that Doc did a few years ago.KyleRayner said:Is there a link available that shows which buildings have 2BDR's or do all the buildings have them?
All buildings 30 and above have the two entrances to the master bath. You can see from the map I posted that "2 entrances" and "close to HH", and "water view" will severely limit your choices. If, however those are your 3 most important things, than those are the requests you should make. Basically, that will limit you to buildings 62,63, and 64. Those are also elevator buildings, and 63 is also a GV building, so you could end up being under a GV, which can be noisy. Also, building 63 is right where all the buses and cars enter the complex.KyleRayner said:Does anyone know which buildings have the double entrance to the master bedroom and that has a nice water view like the lake but won't be too far from hospitality house?

2 bedrooms are dedicateds. The lock off units are "S,1" That would be a studio and 1 bedroom that COULD become a 2 bedroom lock off.wisbucky said:Diane
When it states a number 2 in the description of the building does that mean it is a 2br dedicated. Or does that mean it could be either a 2 br dedicated or a 2br lockoff.
Just curious
A few, but mostly from folks staying in studios nearest the road. I have stayed in 64, but not 62, so no real experience. I have also stayed in 14, 13, and 16, and and have had no noise issues there. The only building we ever had any noise issues in was 29, and that was more because of the noisy folks in the GV above us than anything else. We had a 2 bedroom ground floor unit nearest the road too.KyleRayner said:Diane,
Have you heard any negative comments in regards to Building #62?
KyleRayner said:My main requests would be 1 BDR, non-smoking, upper floor, near Hospitality House, water view (preferably lake instead of pool).
So based on those requests, I'm not sure what building they'll give me.
