O.K. The kids are being merciless and slowly wearing DH down to a few days of our trip to be at POP. One of the issues DH had at ASMU years back was baking in the sun w/the rest of the cattle waiting on the busses to arrive. I see there is a shaded area, but to me it looks like people do not line up under the shaded area but along side it length-wise.. :confused3 I have told the kids that they and I will wait in line and DS will have to signal DH when the bus is arriving ( Puttin flame suit on for being a "place holder" but anyway...IF we need to, we will)
OR....is it shaded where the folks actually line up? It looks to me like there is about 5 or 6 feet between the curb and the bus shelter, and that looks like the area people stand in, like just creeping up for the best axcess...not really waiting under the shade...can anyone clarify?

Thanks, I need to be as upfront w/DH about POP as I can.

I think most of the day, it's sunny where you wait for the buses.
If it's just your DH who will be out of the line, I can't see anybody objecting - as opposed to, say, only YOU waiting in the sun while the other nine people in your party sit on benches in the shade :)
If you feel really awkward about it, you could bring a Flat Stanley (or Flat Mickey) to 'stand in' for your DH in line.

I was at POP in Feb and you will be waiting in the sun. He will be able to sit on a bench in the shade. It did get warm but I will add that we never waited more than 10 minutes.

Yes, just DH out of line...Flat Stanley.... :rotfl2: he is not worried about the heat, just that skin cancer runs in his family and if he can avoid it by choosing shade, he does. We know waiting in line at the parks is going to happen...been about 12 times...but the lines are shaded at the parks for the most part. Glad to hear general 10 minute time frame. Thanks!

We never waited long at All Stars, but we go in September. Normally DS10 will bench it in the shade, while the adults wait. But sometimes, the adults will step out of line to smoke, but only 1 at a time, and that's all about you have time for before the bus comes.

Not sure if this is still true but when staying on property before (one deluxe and 3 other times at a value) the busses would come every 20 min. They would arrive on the hour, at 20 past, and at 20 til. So if you time it right you shouldnt have to wait long. Unless the bus fills up of course. But usually in this case they will call for another bus. If anyone knows that this has changed please let me know. Have a great trip and slather on the sunblock. :thumbsup2
