Bus stop area at MK Closed for repairs?

I am on these boards every single day reading and reading and I can't believe I hadn't heard about this!

I'm taking my parents to WDW in 2 weeks and since it is there 1st time I have sat them down and explained how the bus drops you off and if they drive to MK instead of take the bus they will have to go to the TTC etc. And I must say they are older and it takes many time of repeating everything to get it through so they understand what I am talking about. Now with this going on they are going to think I am crazy!

When is it supposed to be done and what are they doing to it?

Now I have to re-explain several things to them as they are splitting up with us and going back to the room in the afternoon and then meeting us for dinners and MK area hotels so they need to understand the system.

The buses still drop you off at the MK side, if you're coming from a Disney resort. Only part of the bus stop is closed (as of this weekend...at least), on the far side closest to the monorail track. The rest is still in use.

Be sure to tell them to check the transportation board on their way out--they might get dropped off at a different stop than they will return to at the end of the day--they seem to be shifting resorts to different bus stops pretty regularly.

I have no idea what they're doing or why! But I would like to know....

That's weird. I was just there Saturday and they weren't doing anything to the bus stop area.

I don't know if the change is still in effect but the Wilderness Lodge is the only resort that had the bus service changed to the TTC. WL guests have the option of taking the boat directly to the MK.
